From a Vulpera monk here, this is true, gnomes are indeed shorter than Vulpera, especially the ladies:

Accurate- as a prot warrior having a 40 yard instant ability to pull mobs is legitimately game changing (only other race with a 40 yard instant is lightforged Draenei but they also have that 3 second lag before it casts). Not to mention nose for trouble healing an insane amount. The extra bag space, resting zone camp, are cherries on top.

Might want to tell the Tauren to take a hike too, then, if you’re so worried about humanoid beasts. I’ll tell you what’s funny, though: Vulpera are culturally a much better fit for The Horde than Forsaken. Forsaken have only VERY recently started to behave like most other Horde races. Vulpera had them beaten to the punch.
