Vote to Kick is Poorly Suited for its Intended Purpose

that’s not a thing that happens. you’re inventing a system to combat an imaginary problem.

They REALLY need to move that stupid kick vote box out of the center of the screen.
Early on in WoW I would click yes just to get that thing out of my face not knowing if the kicked were guilty or not…I didnt know back then the kicks werent always for good reasons till later in Legion.

Clicking ‘no’ is just as easy and just as quick

but as I said…EARLY ON I didnt know there were so many JERKS in this game kicking for no good reason and ASSUMED the kicks were for good reason.

when I found that most kicks ARE for trash reasons, I vote no most of the time and dont vote at all if I cant confirm either way.

thats because Im dont get a sick thrill of abusing other human beings

All the complaints about LFG or wanting to “Queue for M+” boils down to a single thing.

Forcing (yes, Forcing) other players to play with you.

Just…ingest that for a moment, and what that means, and how that makes you feel. Other folks forced and obligated to spend time with you. (and by “you” I mean the global, universal You, not you specifically, Bait…)

And then turn that around, you being forced to stay with someone else. Being someplace you don’t want to be, spending your precious time doing something you don’t want to do.

And paying for the privilege to play like that.

I am so glad that I keep my drama limited to the forums. I need and want no problems with any of you folks as far as the game itself goes or on any personal level and from the friends I’ve made on my btag through this medium I think most of you are the same.

We should keep our disagreements over the subject and not bring other things into this place or bring this place into our game with each other if we can avoid it.

We’re nerds. We all got WoW issues. But I think we all share loving this game so calm down guys.

I mean obviously most of us have a love/hate relationship with it, but we also share that, right?

I have and will always fit in best among nerds. Whether it be Warhammer, Fishing, Guns, WoW, my nerds of every hobby are the people I want around me.

They will carry me to success anywhere.

Some would say, it’s the secret of life.

If you aren’t surrounded by like minded nerds, are you truly living?

I want those people around me that are a few steps ahead of everyone else on thinking.

That puts me only a step behind them.

Life hack.

If this were true the VtK system would not exist in the first place.
Apprently someone decides.

What we have now is what we are told was the best they could come up with and at least itʻs something.

I personally have ideas how i think it could improve but there are probably dozens of reasons folks can come up with why they wont work.

I personally donʻt like the “Itʻs good enough, dont try to improve on it” thought process. While practical, i think it stagnates the game. If this thinking were extended to more things weʻd never see another expansion or new features added to the game.

but as with many things in WoW it might be a monkeys paw, a new version of VtK might have worse repercussions. who knows?
We never will if they do nothing.

jesus…that was an EPIC boom…lmao…guessin they wont even get that fact lol

You seem to be misunderstanding what I’m saying.

Blizzard cannot be arbiter of what happens on a case by case basis.

Correct. Because groups don’t mesh for different reasons and that’s not up to Blizzard to say why. This is the system that we got to have some agency over purely randomized groups we’re automatically put into by the game coding. We didn’t choose these people.

And again… how are you going to “improve” upon it?

Him misunderstanding what I meant? Get a clue Lio.

Can I be an attention gnome instead?

Take a couple of the suggestions for this post:

So you are saying there should be someone there ready and waiting to check to see if a player has been abusive in chat? Because the criteria for that, in a general sense of reporting someone for offensive chat, has to ultimately be checked by a person as the system isnt intuitive enough to be able to know on every occasion just what is offensive. I mean, if I said “X is an average personality with less than ideal mental acuity” that phrase contains no typical offensive language.

Or:

Seriously? Some non Mythic dungeons don’t even last for 10 minutes. So you are expecting the rest of the group to wait for the entire duration of a dungeon for someone to be assessed for being AFK?

Sometimes, in an individual’s opinion, people’s suggestions just dont work. There’s nothing wrong with saying that.

Vote kick system is just not compatibles with the increased development of player entitlement.

Other that that, it’s fine.

But how do we change that? Therein lies the issue.

I think the force of the kick should be based on how many votes you got and how fast they voted. and the fastest/hardest you just come shooting out of a portal into the wild. You also die from that. less votes + more time = less dramatic. maybe you fall on your butt. IDK I’m spit balling.
