Lol, you actually believe any of that especially after they said they’d add customizations throughout this whole xpac then backtracked on it completely? I mean really?
Threads existing you and your friends don’t personally approve of aren’t spam.
Popular player requests you don’t approve of aren’t spam.
Now, I’d like to discuss what faction theme customization blood elves can have that already exist in their current lore and toolkit, and what void elves can get as well to expand upon their core concept and their subrace that’ll actually make people happy. Not gatekeep, outside being sarcastic about it.
They confirmed their RP tools big lol good for them I suppose.
Opposition to your over exaggerated idea of self importance calling them “popular” requests aren’t derailing either and yet thats what you have described them as such. In fact please share the data you have to back up it’s not the same people spamming the forums, with often just alts liking the OP like we have seen in the past with some HE “popular” request threads.
And your stance hasn’t changed of “this is horde only” while we have so much lore to support otherwise, and now blizzard-given models/customizations to let us enjoy this. “Blood Elves” becoming horde was a thing. Others split off to serve Illidan. More split off to sit in Shattrath. There are plenty of split off Quel’dorei of varying faction representations.
There are tons and tons of places that they exist outside of just alliance and horde. The addition to our customizations was very well received indeed. I’m not asking to add horns or short ears or anything crazy to Blood/High elv- oh wait…
I don’t agree with OP’s request for void elf customizations for horde because they were ejected from the horde, but I don’t care if the appearances get added for the other faction. Go nuts. Enjoy what you like. Crazier things have been done, like Nightborne being horde only or Calia being “horde”.
Really this is a thing? Is that why both this character and my Void Elf can be twins almost with exception of the hair color? I mean what’s so edgy about them anymore that people like you haven’t already diluted and want to continue to dilute about them?
There’s purple and human skinned elves in Alliance and purple and human skinned elves on Horde. There’s Pandas to both factions. There’s fox people on Horde and gnome robots on Alliance.
Times have definitely changed!
Yes I do. Since
They acknowledged it was slow to add in the past, their new system makes it easy
They acknowledge they didn’t have time to give every race love
They acknowledge they haven’t stopped working on customization, that it’s an ongoing process
They acknowledge new customization isn’t coming during Shadowlands specifically
They acknowledge that these new customizations are ‘a hit!’
Your post implies you believe they won’t add anymore customizations ever. Which is a very strange implication.
A neutral race working as intended doesn’t give you free reign to poach the visual uniqueness of BEs, Blood Elves are High Elves, that fantasy is a Horde fantasy I would suggest after 10+ years or however long its been to get over that.
My post is me being realistic that it’s not going to happen anytime soon, I’m sorry that bothers you but at least I’m real about it, instead of trying to say oh we will get new ones soon because there is literally no proof of that even Blizzards own track records with adding new customizations.
I was replying to your ‘yet they don’t do they’, which yes times do change. Pointed out by examples.
Not sure the aim of you constantly shifting goal posts is going to achieve really.
I have said my peace on Void Elf customizations, so have you and your alts. I’m sure Blizzard has acquired our feedback for whenever the next round of updates to Void Elves will come.
I believe more will come, and I think HE fans will be in for a surprise when its void options for them that comes after races that are actually lacking get stuff.
And yet it still holds true that if you want the generic elf fantasy the Horde is waiting for you.
Quel’dorei were part of the Alliance. They had outposts in TBC, they stood with us in Dalaran in Wrath (and Legion) as well as were part of forces in Icecrown and Zul’drak. They stood with Vereesa in MoP. They came along with Alleria in Legion. Now they exist as a playable race for alliance. Recall that Blizzard wasn’t going to give either faction these new appearances, but decided to because it’s what the playerbase wanted.
So yeah, runic tattoos are a popular request, but for the sake of the all important faction distinction, I think it’d be pretty cool to have them with glowing effects as an option as well, themed to light and void for the faction exclusives.
Rule of cool pretty much dictates that the green one should be available to both, however, as void elves are blood elves, and purple/green just looks awesome.
And soon enough we’ll be playing cross-faction. The Horde and Alliance both have the same race of people. Void elves and Blood elves are high elves /thread.
Devs have made it clear are a very rare site few and far between lore wise on the Alliance.
And a few NPCs don’t entitle you to the visual uniqueness of BEs and their ability to fulfill the HE fantasy horde side. Just like humans that side with the horde here and there don’t entitle the Horde to the human themes or as a playable race option.
If the HE fantasy is what you want then you’re a fan of a Horde fantasy, maybe its the faction you’re playing that in fact you’re really not a fan of if you dislike their own unique options.
So then tell me why they’re still in the Alliance? In Dalaran? Wotlk? MoP? And this may come as a surprise to you but I have purple skinned Velves. I just love my main.
