Void elfs and kul tiran paladins are coming alliance favortism at its peak

when it’s the race that gets special treatment it makes perfect sense.

I can agree with that. It would be nice if nightborne demon hunters were added. And I dunno what else. Vulpera druids maybe? Then can add night elf paladins and shamans.

Night elf paladins for sure. Idk about night elf shaman since haranir can already be shamans and u can make a better looking night elf on them lol.

Id givr them gnome paladins

Good thing someone pointed that out right from the start^^
Leaving aside the fact that the Horde has now gotten the night elf model three times or twice, if you don’t want to count the Zandalari, plus the dwarf model and the female human model.
So not only is the Alliance lagging behind in class/race combinations, but also when it comes to race exchanges in general… not to mention that the Alliance hasn’t exactly been treated kindly in terms of playable races since BFA in general. Junk gnomes vs. Vulpera… McDonald’s regulars vs. Zandalari… and since then Alliance copy&paste races. I mean, come on.
And don’t even get me started on all the destroyed Alliance zones and cities.

Still, I don’t really believe that thing about paladins. I don’t get the hype around that class anyway. Shamans are way cooler. Give me Worgen shamans.

Currently Alliance has 126 class/race combos and the horde has 129. Adding Velf DH/Pally and KT Pally means +3 for Alliance (126+3=129) so then both sides would be even.

It will most certainly happen in the future. I expect they will try and release even amounts of new combos for both factions. It would be nice if they could have added more to both sides beyond those 3 though (give us Nelf and Undead pally blizz)

And honestly, no matter what they did, someone would complain “favoritism”

If they did give Nelf/Undead pally, it would still be “Alliance favoritism” because they get 4 and horde gets 1

If they gave just Velf DH and Undead Pally, it would then be “Horde favoritism” because they would still have 3 more combinations.

Let’s be real, IF, and I do mean IF they are going to add pally to new races, it’s going to be to all races. Thinking velf or Kul Tiran would exlusively get a class is ridiculous.

“but velf demon hunter”

that’s because velf is just ally belf and they are adding a 3rd spec in… however many years since the class existed. A very different situation.

And believing a Twitter post without any form of actual confirmation? Like seriously bruh?

Not even a wowhead post or anything, just a random Twitter guy? Even if Blizz were planning something and it was a legit leak, a leak still doesn’t confirm anything and is still 80% speculation.

But they do. Nothing is in the way lore wise.

Void elves testing the limits of the void and exploring its possibilities is also directly within their purview. So one of them figuring out how to use the Light, as a Paladin does, fits really well.

Not only that it fits effectively in the Light and Voids lore where both work off one another regularly.

Ya’ll just sticks in the mud ignoring what the game has been showing you for literal years.

It was a icyviens post. Pretty big site since i use them for builds

Night elves are the OG Druids. A class that was exclusive for them and now Horde has more races able to become Druids than the Alliance. The imbalance here should be the other way around.

If they make Void Elf Paladins before Night Elf Paladins, I go to the Horde.

IMO, even giving Kul’tiran another class option shouldn’t even count. Until the day they do a huge character customization pass on the race I see them rarely played. Out of my 60 + alts. I have 1 Kul’tiran which I will be race changing it to a Haranir.

Sorry, the race/class faction balance shouldn’t even matter in the grand scheme of things. So many combos are rarely used anyway.

If only I could be a mechagnome pally it would be great

Let’s be honest, there are no more sacred classes tied to specific races. That ship sailed long ago. What makes sense now is better matching through logic. Can that race be a priest? Then yes, they can be a paladin. Same for demon hunters; if the race is elven, then they can be a demon hunters. Void elves getting paladins doesn’t sound like something Blizzard wouldn’t do. If they can wield the Light, then why not?

So…

still an unconfirmed leak that has AT LEAST an 80% chance of being false.

The exact logic I use with worgen when people try that race/class gatekeeping crap.

“it’s different though”

it’s literally the same damn power from the same power source. If it can be a priest, it can be a pally.

No, I’m not being a stick in the mud, I’m pointing out how stupid this all is.

The literal backstory for the ren’dorei, which means children of the Void, is they wanted to study the Void. They wanted to live, breathe, bathe in the freaking Void, which is why they look like they shopped at a Hot Topic.

If they had ANY interest in the Light whatsoever, there was an entire order of Blood Knights that would have happily shown them the way right next door to their club house. All they had to do was knock but they said “nope!”

They were so hellbent on their pursuit of the Void that it got them kicked out of the home and into a world soaked in void magic.

So after all that, some of them suddenly said “oh hey I wanna go back to the Light!” Dude, that is hella stupid, I don’t care how you spin it.

This got me thinking that this is the alliances version of “amani custimization” horde doesnt get amani, alliance doesnt get high elves instead they get “high” elf paladins.

Prob some dumb writing about how after the void attacks some void elf wants out but are already part of the alliance so they go through some cleaning and join high elfs. Therefore getting void elf paladins.

Dont get me wrong i know this sounds sooooo dumb and stupid but we have seen worse from blizz.

This is you assuming.

While they were interested and determined to research and utilize the Void, you can’t really say they were at all opposed to the use of the Light…

The actions of a paranoid state vs their belief that the void could be used.

You’re ignoring that time passed, new void elves are being made, more high and blood elves have joined them bringing their own viewpoints and reasons for being there, and the entire fact that the Void Elves question the beliefs of their contemporaries on what is possible with the Void. So fiddling further with it and mixing in the Light is very lore accurate.

Its not stupid. Its continuing the exact same lore that has always existed in further detail because we finally have a group setup to do so.

The treatment of nightborne compared to void elves is sad. The former’s only real win was their customization pass in SL, and even with it, their player population is about less than half that of the latter. I would let them have felborne customization to make up for their lack of a Darkfallen option, and as for new classes, I think everything other than evokers is on the table.

Yep. And some people want their paladins to be super special paladins who wield the Void instead of the Light, on top of everything else the race has gotten since release. When that doesn’t happen, the threads begging for such a thing will increase tenfold.

I think you mean, “some people want Void Elf Paladins to have Void visuals so High Elf RP’ers cannot pretend to be actual Paladins but have yet another constant reminder they don’t have High Elves and can deal with it.”

Some players genuinely do want options, but from experience, more just want to keep High Elf RP’ers from having anything that lets them get closer to the immersion of playing a High Elf on the Alliance.
