Even so, Priests use these forces.
Paladins are used by the Light.
There’s a difference there. You can’t be used as an instrument of two forces, even if someone else could wield them individually.
Priests as a class is an mix of all the priests that exist in lore (otherwise we would end up with at least 5 additionsl religious classes an example, NE priests exculisely worship elune/the moon so normally their magic should be arcane in nature, but the class does not represent that) as such there is always will be a lore problems that arise from it.
Like for example, forsaken as a civilization is strictly shadow priests with the exception of a very few who do not associate with forsaken at large. (Don’t confuse them calling themselves forsaken as a race vs the group)
When ppl cry these races can use light so they must be paladins with priest as an excuse, that suggestion has little to no merit simply because of what priests symbolize as.
Yeah, class individuality was one bygone aspect that really made wow feel unique. Even if you’re not into RP, it’s cool to feel like your unique in your class. Racial influence on it was cool too. Rip priest racial differences.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m here for transformer mechagnomes and MONKS SHOULD REALLY BE A BASELINE CLASS ESPECIALLY FOR LIGHTFORGED WHO SOMEHOW DON’T HAVE THEM DESPITE EVERY OTHER ALLIED RACE HAVING MONKS AND TWO OF THE RARE LIGHTFORGED NPCS WITH PERSONALITY WERE MONKISH, but right now, what I want is the choice to be a super salty demon hunter with back tentacles.
