Blood elf warriors do seem to be a distinct thing, at least if you look at the (admittedly non-canon) TCG.
That being said, I love headcanoning warriors as melee rangers.

The Kingdom of Quelâthalas is still a monarchy, but theyâre in an extended period of interregnum, which is why they are ruled by a regent.
Or whatever.
Itâs odd that theyâre still technically this when one of Lorâthemarâs farewell quotes is âNever again shall a king reign in Silvermoon.â
Itâs not appropriating anything.
Those tattoos are not going to go away just because youâve switched sides.
Their culture is thalassian. Theyâve only very recently begun to be void elves.
Cite your lore where it says we tore our skin off.
We do indeed.
There are reasonable requests.
Black and white hair fit our theme.
Farstrider and arcane type tattoos fit with where we came from.
Ear length, tentacle toggles, scars. All reasonable. Will some of those cross over?
I think some should if they make actual sense to.
Natural hair colors do not.
Oh yeah, her calling herself a Ranger-General is amusing. She only has that title because she self appointed it.
I always assumed too.
Or warriors could be spellbreaker types?
I donât know⌠Still kinda hoping a 4th mage spec gives everyone spellbreaker. Or a new class. (I prefer the new class)
Oh yeah that too!
They are glorious arenât they?
You just know Blizzard will slap that crown on his head as soon as thereâs a lull in the story, Kael might even declare him king now that heâs a nice guy.
He can be my king any dayâŚ
(Fenelon)
I kinda want a âbattlemageâ class that has a Blademaster spec (with a Bladestorm type move, a Mirror Image type move, and a stealth move like Wind Walk that they had in WC3) a dual wielding Battlemage/Spellblade spec that uses fire, frost, and arcane, and a Spellbreaker tank spec.
He can rule me from above any day.
I was thinkingâŚ
Warden.
Three specs, one thatâs a dps is the classic wardens we know and love. Mix of roguish and mage type abilities.
Tank spec thatâs effectively a spellbreaker. Using glaives and shield.
And another dps based off of whatever Lillian Voss is. Shadowy rogue mage killer.
The odd thing about Wardens is, while theyâre always portrayed in heavy armor, they really just seem to be your typical squishy rogue.
That and theyâre way too tied into night elves for me. Night elf druids already get their own afterlife. Do we need more night elf themed stuff?
I would almost want Wardens to be spell breakers mechanically. Their whole job is imprisoning magical criminals so being good at countering magic would be a plus.
Plus both of them wield weapons referred to as glaives.
I was hoping to get Warden class after Legion and BFA but here we are still without the Warden class.
I get that Warden is a cool title for such a class, but itâs just too tied in with night elves for me. It would be like making a Sentinel class.
I think you might want to have another crack at my post.
They seem like heavy armor rogues with a few magic abilities.
True but only one spec would represent that. (plus we have wardens available on both sides now to teach) the other two can allow that class to spread out.
Spellbreakers being a blood elf and nightborne thing.
The orcs have mages using pole arms⌠Itâs a dream of mine for them to be Spellbreaker orcs.
Forsaken could get the representation through the shadowy spec.
Honestly its harder to find where it would fit outside night elves alliance sideâŚ
StillâŚ
Thatâs fair.
I donât want the class actually named Warden⌠But I do want that class and think it could encompass both groups.
Iâm sure they would tie it to both sides if it was ever added, they never have added a class with just one faction having it after having it where it was just Paladins on Alliance and Shamans on Horde.
I wasnât contesting you. I just thought it was vaguely related.
I know. It was that it was night elf themed that I objected to.
One thing I will never understand why they backed away from racial class spells. Sure, donât make them mechanically unique for balance but thereâs so much flavour to be acquired.
That and not expanding glyphs to account for more lore options.
Like loa priests changing their spells to be vaguely windy or natural like.
Being able to change a shadow priest to a light preist or a holy to a shadow healer.
Warrior glyphs to make them appear to have been blessed by their shaman.
Yada yada.
Donât forget we still donât have alt colors for all demons as Warlocks or the ability to sex change them even though they said that would be added a long time ago.
