Saberon would be 100% Horde-material. The Alliance should have received the Furborg, Jinyu and these bird creatures by now. I’m not sure if the Alliance can take another cheap race (Frost Dwarves) at this point, they need more original races for the next decade.
My take on it: those requests are specially relevant now that the new expansion’s alpha comes closer. The devs say they are considering new race/class combos. It is our time to fight for void elven demon hunters, paladins and more.
I do disagree however in saying that blood elves are high elves. High elves are only playable on the alliance, blood elves are not high elves due to the fact that this term in modern wow doesn’t refer to a species, but to a group within a species.
“We must put this misery behind us. We must enter a new chapter! And so I say to you that, as of this day, we are no longer high elves! In honor of the blood that was shed throughout this kingdom, in honor of the sacrifices of our brothers and sisters, our parents, and our children, in honor of Anasterian… as of this day we will take the name of our royal lineage! As of this day, we are sin’dorei! For Quel’Thalas
I’d disagree on this one tho. Void elves, as a ‘‘player race’’, can be high elves, as the devs have said the normal skin tones were added to fullfill the high elven fantasy. But as a lore element, I believe void elves have evolved into another species
This is purely subjective. Objectively Blood Elves are High Elves and if the name High Elf had any relevance to the player it would be listed as such instead of Blood/Void. But as it stands Blood Elves are modern High Elves as they control the majority of the modern culture and home capital that the High Elves created in Silvermoon. Being on the Horde does not change or take away from this at all.
No, they are the same species as high elves (probably). Not high elves anymore tho
It isn’t listed under the blood elven player race because they (sin’dorei) aren’t high elves. And it isn’t listed under the void elven player race because they weren’t intended to include high elves. That changed however.
That’s non-sequitur. They might be political/cultural successors to the old quel’thalas kingdom (along with the silver covenant). Doesn’t mean they are high elves
It’s literally in the game. Pretending it’s not there is a “you” issue.
They are High Elves and have always been.
Again, you’re choosing to purposely ignore what was added because it debunks your argument right away. That is why your opinion is a subjective falsehood when the objective truth is obvious to everyone else.
They are the majority of the High Elven Race. Blood Elves are the modern High Elves. The very minor group you insist are “true” High Elves is a super minority living in the past.
