I love the concept of the Void/Old Gods, and Void Elves were a natural main choice. Plus I love the little backstory I made for this one, a corrupted Silvermoon ranger.
I mained a nelf shadow priest since I started in like June. I started loving the concept of the Void when I got Xalatath.

A corrupted silvemoon ranger sounds nice I like the fact that it makes sense for our hunters to use void and other weird pets thanks to our rifts. Plus you get to use Alleria’s weapon!
I’m kind of sad because the purple skin for Thasdorah is…more Sylvanas than uh…Void.

Yeah I suppose back then they made it really sylvanas…windrunner and all. But hey, maybe some enchant effect could make it voidy?
I am glad for my mage tower rapier and its blue coloration looks very velfy
But yeah I hope one day we get heritage weapons like lightforged get. Beautiful void gems on them!
Their voices are awesome, their hairstyles cool, and their additional skin tones with SL are a much welcomed touch…now if only they had a couple more hair colors.
They have all the history of the blood elves behind them with the added bonus of new lore to play with, so I think they lend well to RP scenarios. I personally had a blast RPing out my Horde paladin becoming a void elf and her struggle with either coming to grips with the change or trying to find a way to reverse it.
Maybe a fully corrupted Thasdorah? Like, starry void tentacles in SotT?

Plus, the racials are just awesome for casters, and that transmog discount saved me a TON of gold (I change my mog all the time)
What questline would you attach to the weapon? I don’t want it to be a boring breadcrumb.
Void Elves are awesome but…
Void Elf backstory is among the worse for any playable race and makes zero sense.
Blood Elves playing naughty with shadow? Yet DKs, Shadow Priests, Warlocks are cool and all?
Stupid thing is lore-wise, Blizzard could have actually written the back story far better without breaking lore, as Alleria entered the portal with a whole army of High Elves. Those Elves could have spent 1000 years (eh!) evolving into Void Elves like Alleria did.
