Same, although I wouldn’t wanna stop there.
I’d like to see a large variety of differing paladin orders representing various cosmic powers.
There’s a lot of combos I think would be great.
Great way to add further customization as well.
I often think about the Kul’tiran’s and the Dark Irons in that regard.
Water and Fire based paladin orders sound really neat.
Fire for my dark iron would be great.
I’m thinking instead of only water, a storm based paladin for Kultirans (which I could use on a vrykul if they were finally made playable) would be great. Divine storm swapped to something like “Raging Tempest” wind water and lighting striking all around…yes please.
Elune based options for night elves, worgen, and whoever wanted them.
Arcane Nightborne paladins.
The concepts Simaia and Lost Codex did were fantastic and covered pretty much all the bases except the arcane one. It’d be a cool option as well.
why cant this be the void elves we got?
It still can be.
What we have now does not have to inform what we get later. Just because Blizzard has so far focused on high elf additions does not mean that we still cannot have our main theme focused on and expanded upon.
We don’t need to worry about what we have now. We need only ask what we want to have in the future. The doors are open to us.
My eyes are on the x.1 patch. Blizzard has been pretty good with cosmetics lately, and would be a nice way to round it out with some cosmetics thrown our way.
Nothing data mined yet and the primal eyes were for npcs only, sadly.
i hope but i fear they arnt doing anything for customizations.
what i dont get is how hard would it actually be to do this?
if they just let the community do it…
This got explored in depth over in the FFXIV community concerning Viera, Hrothgar, and headwear.
All the hairstyles and hats had been modified by dedicated community members to work with these races, and it was a a giant puzzle that SE didn’t just copy the work (the authors flat out said they could use them, with gusto!). It all came down to unions and agreements within development.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Blizzard also has similar constraints.
I’m not entirely sure I believe we’ll get them with the x.1 patches but that is the most likely next chance regardless of if I believe it or not. lol
Would be really nice to see a nice spread for void elves and other races.
Those eyes… I don’t know. I’m betting along the line here in DF those will become an unlockable option. Probably near the end of the expansion though I’d bet.
For the moment it appears its a matter of resources as the higher ups see it. For whatever reason they don’t see the value in putting a team together to solely expand those things for the moment.
I have some hopes that when/if microsoft pick up Blizzard they will be more focused on it, and some of the things we’ve seen recently make me actually kinda start to believe Blizzard is more interested in giving to the players… that new trader thing in Orgrimmar and Stormwind for instance is a welcome surprise.
I think the community doing it is legally a difficulty for Blizzard. They don’t want to figure out payment and rights and yada yada I’d bet. Still would be nice though.
Yeah this.
i wonder if nexus mods falls under the same situation with like, skyrim mods etc.
i fear if they do see it… they will darkfallen it…
no doubt def a plus.
hopefully the romures of it being a battle pass is fake.
I’m fully expecting earthen customizations for dwarves at a future date.
That’s what I’m expecting with the earthen dwarves. Figure a few skins. The bare minimum. I’d be surprised if it’s anything real expansive.
Ugh, I’m getting sick of battle passes. You get totally screwed over getting anything good if it’s monetized or if you play multiple games. Can’t get far into any of the passes. It blows.
dude and the freaking mecha gnomes all mecha but we are still in the year 2022 with neither.
rune fordged dwarves? maybe next 10 years.
we just barely got dark iron after some weirdness in the plot being brought up.
id truthfully only be happy with expansive not mediocre. darkfallen deserved expansive. this thread deserves at the very least all of this.
facts. just unfounded rumores tho. giga no truth to it yet.
Yeah, the lack of the fully mechagnomes is dumb.
I just don’t see a reason to be referencing a group of earthen in game that are the same as dwarves, except earthen, unless that’s their plan. Easiest way to introduce some playable earthen options is just on top of the default dwarves rather than putting in the work to make them something a bit more unique.
I’m figuring they’ll show up during the rumored underground patch.
Yeah, but as we’ve seen, mediocre is all we are likely to get. It sucks too.
Just seems to be what every game is doubling down on.
Overwatch has switched to one and it sucks.
Diablo Immortal has one.
Variety of other games as well. Seems to be the flavor of the month but one that’s a bit disliked.
I’d rather have a currency and the ability to use it toward whatever rewards interest me. The overwatch one is especially bad cause if you don’t pay money, you get like 2 -3 rewards per each 10 block bar. Feels bad.
Oh for sure! Void users realizing they have to fight fire with fire as it were could be such a great introduction to Void Knights.
Overall the lore could have so much fun by introducing more cosmic powers behind what we’d call a paladin -as you said on other posts-
Yep, could be fighting void with void, but also the light and any other enemy that’s needed.
Even death options for something like a Zandalari prelate of Bwonsamdi would be great.
Forsaken death paladins.
Definitely letting people pick whatever power they think fits their character too.
Let people pick on character creation, or have racial defaults and then have the barbershop to switch, or some little quests where you go to the leader of the specific paladin group you wanna be part of and join up for the appearance.
I’d made a void elf death knight as I was trying to figure out the closest class that wasn’t a shadow priest (had already made one) that had that lovecraftian vibe. Lotta the stories have death, but man, I think I’d switch him to void paladin given the option.
Although I’d still love a complete void focused class.
Funny thing is the last couple years I’d been suggesting a void knight with a lot of the spell effects made for 8.3 and such, but give them an alternate form, sorta like shadow priests have shadow/void form, but rather than shadowy, focus more on the physical, more of a customizable aberration you change into…basically the medieval fantasy version of Venom, customizable with old god and void creature themed stuff.
Then Dracthyr came out…yeah, just like that but instead of a dragonkin, they turn into aberrations, multi-eyed hulking creatures with all sorts of neat customizations.
This upcoming trading post set looks like it might be nice for velfies.

No images on these, but the fact that there seem to be 4 new Void Themes Transmogs feels like a win for Void Elves
Ensemble: Void-Bound Battlegear (New) Collect the appearances of the Void-Bound Battlegear armor set. Instant.
Ensemble: Void-Bound Chains (New) Collect the appearances of the Void-Bound Chains armor set. Instant.
Ensemble: Void-Bound Raiment (New) Collect the appearances of the Void-Bound Raiment armor set. Instant.
Ensemble: Void-Bound Warplate (New) Collect the appearances of the Void-Bound Chains armor set. Instant.
They’re sending in the clowns!
It really feels like one for each armor type!
Don’t wanna get my hopes up; it will most likely be a purple version of an already existing set, but best case scenario we get something like the Ligthforged Argus armor!
Overall, I think that it will most likely fit VE’s well.
