Voices you recognize in WoW from other media such as movies, games, etc

John DiMaggio (Bender) also voices Banshee-44 in the Tower Courtyard, and Jake the Dog in Adventure Time.

That’s where I recognized the voice…I was like, wait, that sounds like Robin !

I know him better as Lloyd Irving from Tales of Symphonia.

I’m horrible with knowing actor’s names ( I know it’s a shame, a very bad shame) but the man who voices the panda from the mop cinematic, I swear I hear him EVERYWHERE.

who is he?

Geez. The only ones I’ve even heard of are Martin Sheen, Claudia Christian, Christopher Lee and Michael Dorn. The rest I’m like “Who?” So I wouldn’t recognize any of them.

Travis Willingham, who voices acts Gazlowe and Turalyon also did Roy Mustang in Fullmetal Alchemist and Jaro Tapal in Star Wars: The Fallen Order

Frank Welker has a few in game, and a long list of movies, cartoons, ect. That he has blessed with his voice.
I first heard Lauren Bailey’s voice in Blood Rayne.
Jim Cummings has a few roles.
One of the Tortollen is the orphanage grandma from skyrim.

That’s Jim Cummings, who literally does the voice for everything Disney. Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, Pete, the firefly in Princess and the Frog, he does fill-in when lines need to get replaced or actors can’t sing, he’s omnipresent and very distinctive.

The same, Christopher Judge was credited.

Know its not WoW Related but Armin Shimerman (Quark in Star Trek Deep Space Nine) is listed as “additional voices” for Diablo 3 and have always wondered what voice(s) he was in there

(EDIT) Looks like he is “additional voices” in WoW:MoP as well so would love to find out what he was in those

Troy Baker as Gul’dan from Legion and WoD.

Not sure if that qualifies as a voice but the bear aggro sound is used in a lot of other games and media. I assume that’s because it’s hard to capture a high quality sample of an angry bear, so there’s not a lot of samples to buy.

I didn’t read all 132 posts so this has probably been said. I’m a huge fan of Critical Role, though I just got into it recently. I watched a lot of it before learning Laura is Jaina and Liam is Illidan.

Liam and Talisen both do voices in ESO, which is my other MMO I play regularly and is beautifully voice acted for every single quest/npc.

He also did a ton of voices for the Chaos faction in Dawn of War.

I heard Liam O’Brien on the Carmen San Diego reboot. He voices Professor Maelstrom and even uses the same tone as Illidan’s tone. When he first spoke in the series I was like, “Lord Illidan what are you doing in VILE?”

Earl Boen and Tony Jay are both in the same scene in the WCIII cinematic where Medivh warns Terenas of the Legion’s return.

That is So Cool ty for finding the links. I love that Illidan and Jaina’s VA do fun stuff like this ^.^

I haven’t read my way through the whole thread, but I was surprised to learn that the VA for Vol’jin is David Henderson “Dave” Fennoy who also voiced Lee Everett from the first season of The Walking Dead by Telltale games. A fantastic role he really shined in.

It turns out he’s been in a LOT of things. He showed up a lot in different iterations of Ben 10, and his wikipedia page says he was in a seemingly endless list of games ranging from Star wars to Bayonetta to Transformers.

Weirdly, his WoW thing on this page says he was the voice of Bwonsamdi in 2004, but that could have just been someone getting their trolls crossed.

This video is 6 years old, but has some examples.

Bwonsamdi showed up during a event before cataclysm with the darkspear trolls. He helps them get the echo isles back for the new starting zone.

thank you so much for telling me…now I can be on the look out and know who it is

For me, it was Chromie’s new voice as Nanako Dojima from persona 4.

I occasionally still hear her in voices like Anna from FE three houses and that vulpera boss from freehold, however her Chromie and Nanako voices sound exactly the same to me.
