Voices you recognize in WoW from other media such as movies, games, etc

You know, I never put two and two together but now that you say that I can hear it plain as day.

Fenris being an imperial guard is kind of hilarious.

Rokhan is voiced by Abubakar Salim, who voiced Bayek in Assassin’s Creed: Origins.

I recall quite clearly how I moved into Spires of Arak and was met by Megatron in bird-man form.

Love Frank Welker.

If you mean Lei Shen, that’s not Christopher Lee, It’s Paul Nakauchi.

I THINK he voices the warlock imps, too.

These things never quite hit you until someone points it out, and then it all just hits you like a brick.

And then this scene is just wild now when you imagine them as their respective characters.
(warning: mildly graphic)

Gideon Emery. He also voices Fenris from Dragon Age and a handful of characters from Skyrim.

That’s how I felt when taliesin jaffe was in soul caliber. I couldn’t quite pick up on it til he let out a loud cackle then I was just “Oh there he is”

God I love when you can just tell the voice actor is having a freaking BLAST

Not quite. Darin De Paul voices him. Aka Reinhardt

He did have a unknown voice actor for Cataclysm however

He’s also the voice of the Fel Imp

If I had to guess. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. Ever play Silent Hill games? She’s usually the female singer in some songs like Room of Angel. One More Soul to the Call.

How has no one mentioned Tirion Fordring yet??

Bernard Hill.

Aka KING THÉODEN!

Ohhhhhhh yeah not a lotr guy. I’ve seen the first movie. That’s about it.

Yeah, he’s in the second and third movies. So that would be why it wouldn’t have made sense as a reference.

All good, amigo!

Speaking of LOTR. I do know Illidans va voices video game versions of Gollum. It’s quite a trip to see him do that voice.

Cool!

You are not prepared…my precioussss

I think my fav voice acting thing recently was Critical Role. Where Matt Mercer is playing a kenku. For those that don’t play DnD. They’re a race of raven people that mimic people. They’re unable to have their own voice so they mimic.

So imagine a kenku mimicing the party. He got it PERFECT with one character Travis Willingham was playing.

I saw this live and the entire fandom nearly died from cute. Seriously I miss this dang Kenku

I’m sure I haven’t actually noticed Deva Marie Gregory’s voice work before now, but Meerah definitely sounded to me like a cartoon character I had heard before.

Nisha’s voice actor, however, Courtenay Taylor, does Juhani in Knights of the Old Republic, Ellen Kiel in Guild Wars 2, Jack in the Mass Effect games, and a whole bunch of other voices in popular games of the last 20 years.

I think I’ve heard him as Blackhand too.
