While I don’t agree with removing the sanity drain or even including an “explore” mode to the visions since they cost nothing to enter, it’s not just Stormwind and Orgrimmar. There’s a lot of small details in the visions. In particular, Stormwind. It’s super lush with all sorts of cool details.
For example, the clothier shop owner Lisbeth Schneider is dead and has her mouth and eyes sewn shut. Topper McNab has been turned into a rat, and once slain returns to normal, a cat hops down off from their box to feast on his corpse and thanks you for helping it. Orphan Matron Nightingale is dead in the street while orphans pelt her corpse with rocks and sing nursery rhymes about not having school or responsibilities, while children possessed with Faceless Ones chase each other around.
It’s super cool.
