I’m not sure if this is a game engine thing, but I just started playing MoP classic again. I started a new Night Elf character. I’m noticing something I have never noticed before. When I view mobs from a distance, they appear to be moving kind of slowly, herky jerky like. When I get closer to the mobs they move normally. I’ve tried disabling all my addons, but that doesn’t change anything. I’ve tried turning the graphic settings to low and then high, but that doesn’t change anything either. Anyone know what I’m talking about? I mainly play WoW Classic Anniversary and it’s not happening in that game.
It’s probably something in your graphics settings, where you draw the line between close up and far away. The mobs that are at a distance are set up to render less well so that takes stress off your system.
Im sorry, I’m an Everquest 2 player, and that’s exactly what happens in that MMO when you move the character slider rendering distance bar.
this means the distance mobs have lower fps and it’s about how your pc render near/far objects
it’s related to your settings > Graphics in both the PC and the game.
I figured it out. It was an addon that even when disabled it was causing the issue. I uninstalled the addon and deleted the WTF folder. Everything is working fine now.
EDIT
The addon in question is called Hyperframes.
