The bug seems to be not just visual, I was tracking my progress with the script above and hit 2400/2400, and still did NOT receive the saddle. I am actually 30/2400 points into the next saddle’s achievement right now with no saddle.
If that’s the case, then blizzard this is a must emergency fix that needs to happen right away!

Confirmed. Was tracking my progress through this macro and when i’ve won the last arena needed , got the vicious saddle as lot, pops on screen.
I experienced the same thing you did Jezbeth. After the patch I was at 1800/2400 on the ‘Vicious Saddle (3)’ achievement, and I completed the remaining wins for it earlier this week, and did not receive the saddle upon reaching 2400/2400. I also got one additional win just to be sure, and it was tracked in the ‘Vicious Saddle (4)’ achievement progress.
Based on this, and the fact that some folks here are indicating they have received a saddle since the patch release, makes me think that it depends on which of the hidden achievements you are currently on. Clearly ‘Vicious Saddle (3)’ is broken, but others possibly aren’t. So, in short, I think it’s more than just a UI bug at play here.

I also can confirm it appears to be more than a visual bug.
Using the tracking method mentioned above, I should have just completed Vicious Saddle (2). However, I didn’t get anything.

This is the reply to my ticket:
" I understand you were having some trouble receiving a second Vicious Saddle from the seasonal PvP rewards.
I did some digging into this to see what was going on here. In this case, it does appear we’ve been getting some reports about issues with this and have confirmed it’s not working as intended. While we aren’t able to provide the saddle currently, the issue is being investigated already by the Developers.
If you haven’t done so already, please be sure to submit a bug report in-game so that the Developers can get more examples of this happening."

I submitted a ticket last week and got a similar response. Really hope we get an update soon.
Upon logging in this afternoon, it looks like the Vicious Saddle progress percentage bar has been restored in the UI.
That said, I still have not received a Vicious Saddle for the completion of my prior progress bar (e.g. the previous hidden achievement) while this was broken. In other words, it’s showing 1% for me now, but prior to 8.2.5 I was at 75% and I completed those wins while it was broken but didn’t receive a saddle in the process.
I’ll be interested to hear if others who are in the same situation receive their saddle.

The UI Bug seems to be fixed, but I never got my saddle.
I’m planning to submit a second ticket.
Same thing here. Was 93% before bug happened. Now 29% into the next one. Checked every toon on my account, all bags, all banks - no saddle

Yup, the progress bar shows up for my 3rd saddle now in the UI, but did not receive my 2nd saddle still
Received the following ticket response regarding the updated bug.
This is Game Master *******. I understand there’s an issue regarding not receiving a vicious saddle that was earned. I’d be happy to take a look into this with you and see what we can do to help get you back to your adventures in Azeroth!
I did some digging into this for you to see if there was any means for us to assist but I’m afraid our development team is still reviewing this issue and working on it. I’m afraid I do not have an ETA on when this issue will be resolved but know that they are aware and working on a solution.
I do apologize here for the trouble but appreciate your understanding and patience. Thank you for playing our games and we wish you luck on your journeys across Azeroth!
At least you got a more encouraging response than I did; I guess they think I enjoy grinding out these wins so much that I don’t mind losing a saddle to the house.
My suggestion would be they fix their bugs and get the rewards to players who earned them. It’s not like getting another saddle is as simple as filling a conquest bar or something.

I ran logs on my side to see if there was anyway possible to verify the progress, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like it is currently possible to verify, modify, or otherwise change the pvp progress bar. ._. I’m very sorry.

That’s awful, and absolutely not an acceptable answer.
We really need a blue response here. Getting a saddle is a lot of time. This is not OK.
I would suggest you escalate your ticket

And it’s not even an issue of “getting credit” for our new wins. I “lost” 80 somethings wins because of this bug
Edit: I re-opened my ticket and asked them to confirm that they will be restored when they are done with their “investigation.”

Also, there is an easy way to verify that you earned it.
1.). Count how many vicious mounts you own.
2.) subtract the number that were BFA seasonal rewards, and thus, not purchasable with Saddles.
3.) subtract how many 100 win achievements you have from legion.
That will give you the number of vicious saddle mounts you actually received in BFA.
Now if that number is less than the number of the achievement you are working on, you can confirm that you are missing one.
I posted a ticket as below after I received a second fairly out of touch and politic ticket response about how “the QA team can check it out and figure out what may be making this happen to hopefully keep it from happening in the future.” Will post updates.
“I am not sure if I am being understood here, my main concern is if the logs can be checked to see if I received a 2nd Vicious Saddle this season (I have not) which I obviously earned because right now my progress is being tracked into Vicious Saddle (3) achievement (achievement ID 13531). It is all good and well that the bug is being fixed, but that is not going to get my ~month long progress back on the vicious saddle. I only continued playing games because I saw on the online forums that when people asked about the vicious saddle progress tracking bug, it was told to be just a visual UI bug by the GMs. I would not have bothered to play more games otherwise, the saddle was my goal.

Received another response that just said things are still under investigation.
When I asked about the inconsistency in Shikkao’s response, where they appear to have said it will not be restored, they said they don’t see the inconsistency, and linked me to a support article discussing the (now fixed) visual bug.
