I only have success pugging ily’g in 2/2/6. Any more than that and you are bound to mess up MCs.
Almost everyone I know across three servers has a Bnet list full of people they raid with, a Discord community or a guild.
It’s not. Find some people you’ve pugged with and start a static team. Find a WoW community. Find a Discord community. You’re only running Normal. You don’t need a hard core raid guild for that.
No… you’ve just been hostile since your first post and acting defensive. There are always going to be bad pugs and good pugs. Find the good ones and make an organized group out of them.
Of course, because people who give you actual logical statements are definitely children. ![]()
We’re not the ones who need to grow up.
lolwut
do you honestly believe this??
or is it asking for nerfs to fairly simple bosses so unorganized groups can easily kill them that is wrong with the game?
I guess I’m glad I don’t have to pug. I raid with guild and with a few different groups/communities that I belong to.
I can’t make heroic offnights so I usually end up pugging a couple bosses with somewhat worthwhile loot.
they aren’t raid killers. they’re pug killers. that’s all. honestly after wrathion they’re the easiest fights in the whole place once you know what’s going on. the raid has to learn to hard swap to the adds. hard swap. that means the stupid ones have to learn to break off from vexiona and burn down the adds. flight phase is standard “don’t stand in the bad stuff, pay attention”, and the final phase is “stay together or get feared and killed”.
the trash before ra-den is harder than ra-den.
cloak can be levelled to 14 now. you say you’re running with premade groups, but you’re stuck on those two bosses on normal? between the lvl 12 primary stat buff from the cloak, rank 3 of the new essences(and a couple of the old ones depending on class) you should be steamrolling heroic nyalotha at least up to carapace. on normal you can almost ignore the mechanics on most fights. ra-den and vex aren’t anywhere near as hard as ilgynoth or even the trash in some spots of the instance.
run some +9 keys and get you some 455 corrupted pieces, get a 475 piece or two with residium. you’re still in 430 gear when world quests give 445 and the dailies in the assualts give 445 residium armor that pops to 450 from azerite empowered.
With both of these fights, you really need people to be in discord so that a raid leader can direct them. With Ra-dan, it only takes one person not doing the static ball correctly to mess things up, and with Vex, it only takes one person to drop the purple junk in melee to do the same.
Same can be said for every “Drop pools outside the raid” fight bliz has ever done, there have been several, and you certainly don’t need raid communication for them.
Raden you just need 3-4 people willing to watch / do the mechanic. The other however many people just have to blast the boss and kill 1 add. That doesn’t require discord it just requires people to care about executing the mechanic and not just pumping DPS.
The problem is, you always have that one guy who is not tucked in under Ra-dan and they screw things up. Having people in a channel where a raid leader can direct things makes it so much easier.
Then gkick him for being
and move on
I mean… Stand under boss.
Two marks far away from eachother (Far enough that it’s impossible to not jump to the correct place). 2-3 ranged / heals assigned to each mark, they move out 1 by 1. Have 1 extra incase someone on the list gets the starting one.
Done.
Why gkick people when you can just have someone calling out. Makes a raid go very smooth.
well if it isnt a problem then sure but if they suck and its a problem get rid of them and get someone good in. seems pretty straight forward to me /shrug
yeah , ever heard of corruption gear - my main dropped 10 ilvls and did 8k more damage because of it ( one piece ilvl 420 corruted was an upgrade over a 460 non corruted). he is 450 and out DPSes at lot of 460s who havent got corrution gear.
Ilvl means nothing
Its caz thos 2 need a bit of thinking to do. I have seem vex kill raids more then the other, mostly caz the raid hits her first.
People just gatta be smart with the machanics of the fights.
Also, of they can’t do them there doomed for the other end wave boss (blanking on his name, the one with the 3 “doors”), and nzoth
I dont understand how vex is a problem for anyone.
P1
Drop pools off at the side of the room
Deal with adds
healers top the tank with the debuff and dispell the other one
Intermission
Bait and dodge the twilight devastation
As above
Last phase
Get your movements right and soaks organised and healers use the cds you have been sitting on for 5 mins and the mana you have not needed the whole fight so far and just pump.
Loot boss.
Its that simple
Maybe because you are doing group based content in a pug can safely say those 2 bosses are some of the easier 2
You’re just like so many people that are ruining the hardcore-ness of the game. You want to be able to walk in and without thinking about anything, probably not having the gear required, etc, and be able to clear a raid. Despite popular belief, this is an mmorpg, people have to communicate and work together to get some objectives done. That includes raids. If everything in WoW were able to be done by everyone, this game would be incredibly boring. Either put in the effort or go home.
My favorite Vex wipes are when I don’t get healed enough and 1 shot most of the raid.
Yea we rotate externals on those and there really inst anything else for healers to do p1 anyway so there is no excuse for not having you topped.
