Different set, I guess it's not very common knowledge that the 370 quest reward xmog is different then the normal warfront xmog.

- If you add heroic and mythic versions of warfronts, allow them to drop the next armor tier appearance based on difficulty. T1 = normal, T2 = heroic, T3 = mythic. This way you can still tie the armor appearance to item level while allowing people an actual means to farm the appearance through increasing warfront difficulty
- Give us a vendor that sells the appearance and rewards us with tokens for each completed warfront. Think marks of honor for legacy PvP gear. You can add a weekly cap or something but at least allow us to target some of the pieces if RNG is not kind.
- Add a progression system for waterfronts in which after a set number of completions we can unlock an appearance for the set. Like how conquest points currently work for PvP.
- Don't allow the waterfront emissary reward to drop duplicate T3 items till the entire set is assembled.

I'm genuinely sorry to hear you are having such trouble farming the set you want. While I'm not into the transmog scene myself, I can sympathize with RNG troubles. I hope you have better luck in the future! :)
I feel your frustration, I really like the 7th Legion plate sets and I'm so so so close to finishing all of them that it's driving me nuts when I keep getting duplicates.
only the monthly quest has the extra fancy mog pieces, so you can only get one piece per character per month. As a side, the 370 boots are... well, graphically broken on (at least) Worgen females. (Not sure about the males.) Seriously, we look like we have constantly mutating duck feet when walking, and not much better standing still. Something's wrong below my ankles.

This would be glorious, and reasonable for something that takes such an absurd length of time to collect. At least all previous tier sets in the game you had a shot once a week when the raid reset, not once a month like this set.
Wondering how this would all work one expac later, I love the plate and mail sets but i'm afraid i'll just get dupes every month I try the quest.
I will say across six characters I haven't gotten a dupe unique to the character yet, just duplicates from one character to the next. So it is possible it's designed not to give duplicates unique to the character, so if you have one character you could complete it in 10 months (there are 10 different slots it drops pieces for) if that holds true.
I actually like the Rogue sets & not just the 370 set.

I concur. I have most of the elite set that I care for, with the shoulders and chest being the primary pieces I'm lacking. I understand Blizzard doesn't want to give a bunch of 370 gear to everyone for minimal effort, but what's the harm in adding them to 7th Legion/Honorbound emissary caches if you've put in the work to unlock 370 gear from there? We're talking mostly mains here, with a few exceptions here and there of people having one or more alts that are geared to be eligible for the 370 caches.
Heck, what about just a rare mission that gives you the mog look without actually having an ilvl of 370 attached to it or, for Azerite pieces, just a "de-powered" version that's specifically for transmog like Khor from Uldir?
I understand random loot is random, but only one shot a month at some of the best looking Alliance gear in the game just feels a bit too restrictive. I don't even care about the item level or Azerite traits; I'd be happy with just having the appearance unlocked for the elite shoulders.

The 370 mog looks different, as has been explained a good 10 times in this thread already by multiple people.
I would not know because the leather mog sucks donkey .... well you get the picture.
