With fire being mostly instant cast, should I prioritize haste or vers? Right now I have a full set of the blue crafted pvp gear with equal hate and vers. Wondering if I should focus on my conquest on the arena pieces that prioritize vers over haste. The goal being to increase my overall burst. Or should I do mostly crafted conquest gear with equal haste + vers?

You would have to sim out depending on what you’re doing. Vers is strong, it scales amazingly well. Haste also scales well. So if you look at haste break points(which at this point for fire I think only decreases casting time) versa haste pieces will be the way to go
Haste is better than Vers for Fire because it lowers the GCD and greatly impacts your hyperthermia and combustion windows more than flat % damage from Vers does.
Ideally you’re 35%+ Haste and 20%+ Vers with whatever missives / gems you slap on your gear.
For Fire you do want to go the 4pc tier set because extending the hyperthermia window and lesser time warp buff is significantly more impactful than losing a small amount of additional haste and vers.
Thank you! I took your advice and used my conquest to convert four pieces into tier. Definitely notice that 10% bump post-combustion hypo from the four set when testing damage on the pvp dummies.
Sitting at 47% haste and 27% vers. I’m currently gemmed with the haste+vers gems. Should I switch to the vers+haste gems to increase my vers more?
