Velfs got their black and white

It’s so brightly colored I can’t directly look at them

I’m stoked about these changes and laugh at the other BEs who get so mad over these changes.

Feel like the Ren’dorei hair styles actually give them a bad boy look with the new colors. Like a troublemakers look to them.

I think the problem with a Void Elf backstory is the inherent danger fleshing out their background will have towards Blood Elves. There are essentially one of two ways their backstory can be fleshed out.

  1. Victims: They’re the downtrodden and oppressed citizens of Quel’Thalas railing against a tyrannical government that has been known to deploy literal thought-police. Their intentions are noble while the man wants to keep them down because they fear anyone with the power to resist.
  2. Rebels: They’re a group that have decided the way Quel’Thalas is currently run is somehow lacking. Their perspective will show weaknesses in the culture and government and their own attempts to address those weaknesses with the study of a new magical power. This will of course come with setbacks and such that make them seem bad when looked at objectively, but their perspective will make them seem as if they’re being cruelly abused and harassed for trying to do the right thing.

The real problem is expanding on their background would almost certainly come from their perspective either way, so even if it’s filled with their mistakes and the terrible consequences those mistakes would have on innocent people, it’s as likely to paint the Blood Elves in a villainous light at worst, and unflattering light at the best. Considering Blood Elves are one of the Horde’s best, ‘Heroic,’ races, this would not do their faction pride (whatever tattered shreds remain after the atrocity that was BFA) any favors.

The devs said Void Elves intent is to bring back High Elf fantasy to Alliance.

Technically Warcraft likes to be a bit nebulous with morality. In Warcraft 3 the Orcs are the good guys. Sort of. Except Hellscream.

Mmm. This doesn’t seem particularly well received on the forums.
