Yeah it was probably a bad comparison. I just think after Pandaren itā€™s a bit of a stretch to be too angry about the same race taking two different paths. Especially when their racial lead is a high elf with void powers and not just a void-infused accident.

Iā€™m just tired of the void elf/blood elf war.

You can reduce our annoyance supporting the notion the devs should make accesible the red eyes / white skin they already have in existence for the NPCs on the Belf playable model.

It will literally take less time than your hair colors and the modification of the underwear back in january took, ffs.

Honestly, ā€œBlackā€ should have been available from the start. Even if they stuck to their guns with their inane ā€œVOID MEANS VOID!ā€ nonsense, any color other than black is less void. Black should have been the defacto default, as Blond is to Blood and High Elvesā€¦

I blame the art teams Monet-esque aversion to black. It has done an already disadvantaged race a crippling disservice.

I mean Void Elves are former Blood Elves who were exiled because they wanted to study the void.

I think at this point you could argue itā€™s the same thing. Itā€™s simply Elves fighting over a philosophical difference of opinion rather than being thrown out for being half void. That came later.

The thing that kills me is that they pretty much stole the spotlight from two of the most limited ARs getting updates. Like, look at this:

Nightborne are finally able to squint and are getting a bunch of dope facial jewelry, Lightforged are able to plate themselves with silver and copper, both of them finally have noteworthy options, but nah, the REAL headline-worthy item in the Nightborne/Lightforged update is the Void Elves.

Iā€™ve already resigned myself to the expectation that Void Elves will elbow their way into every update going forward.

Iā€™m happy to see updates, but Iā€™m tired of seeing only one race get consistent attention.

Is such low hanging fruit is not even funny, man. The asets already exist, the ONLY thing the devs have to do is to let the players access them on the customization menu ffs.
