Varian Wrynn > Draka

Honestly if you don’t roll Revendreth as your first Covenant why even live?

Revendreth is definitely my first covenant, this is my main and she will be a Venthyr Demon Hunter… I’m even trying to kind of mog her the same way, akin to either Sire Denathrius and his bling armor, or a mish-mash of the NPCs there… I love that Unholy Persuader with the Beastslayer illusion is basically the dual fists version of his Remornia… I’m still trying to get those BoE shoulders from Mythic Antorus which look like the orbs Kael’thas now has, and that’s probably gonna be harder during prepatch since it will be literally 5 levels below… will have to form mog raids again, although I still couldn’t solo Eonar anyway even now…

Actually I liked the Maldraxxus one the most because of Draka…

Makes you wonder.

Where does a fel blown up soul go?

Is it destroyed?

Does it go someplace special?

Where did Varian go?

I care. She also has a story to tell - epic, too. Died protecting her son like a warrior.

Varian, epically BA, had told a great story and we all remember him. He gets to live on in our gaming-nerd hearts.

I sincerely think he would agree that Draka is worthy of praise - one warrior to another.

Oh he was going to die from the stab wounds from those trash demons. Gul’dan just gave him a quicker death by disenchantment.

Anyone else enjoy later watching Gul’dan get disenchanted by Illidan? Who knew he was an enchanter?

Draka is alright but she is a bit dull for sure.

Varian was awesome. Dude actually had a story arc and changed throughout the years whilst retaining his strength.

What, you guys are sick of Edgy Hypermasculine White Male Human? You’re saying you would like to explore the lives and lore of something other than that?

I don’t understand. This type of character is so underrepresented in not only WoW, but many other games as well and honestly it’s kinda icky and problematic that you want to move away from giving so much attention to this archetype.

It’s such a unique, engaging and interesting character type that just has so much potential and it’s very uncool that you’re bored to tears with it. How dare you even look at a different archetype to explore. DISGUSTANG.

Disenchanted. From dust to dust, as the prophets have decreed:

Yeah VC would have been good.

When the Anima crisis happened Van Cleef would’ve been like, "Operation Warp speed, we believe, will have tens of millions of doses of the vaccine (vaccine). "

Why the Hell would Varian have been thrown into the maw?

-edit-

Nevermind, completely forgot about the entire plot of Shadowlands for a moment.

How did this not have more like… best post in this thread!!!

Uh oh, someone’s been reading too much Vox news

No way man, I’m like, totally on your side!

More Edgy Hypermasculine White Guy representation NOW! This game just doesn’t have enough!

Can we stop with this stupidity? It isn’t about that.

I think folks are only saying anything because Draka didn’t really do much. She protected baby Thrall, fought a few orcs, and died rather unremarkably.

The other characters that show up (Kael’thas, Ysera, Uther, et cetera) all did a lot more and are just more storied characters.

I think Draka is pretty cool she just seems a bit out of place with the rest of the roster is all.

What? Dude, I’m agreeing with you. Totally. We shouldn’t even look to develop her as a character or improve her arc. Why would we do that when we could just give more attention to Varian?

Honestly, I feel like the entire story thing with Drakka in Maldraxxus was written for Garona, and late in development Red Shirt Guy pointed out that Garona was still alive…

So then they panicked and tried to find a dead female orc and the only one they could come up with was Drakka.

I think Arthas’ direct descent into the Maw somehow allowed the Jailer - despite being imprisoned - to use Arthas’ soul as an “anchor” to pull Sylvanas directly into the Maw as well as soon as she committed suicide in “Edge of Night”, due to her being tortured and forcibly raised by Arthas as the first Banshee.

It kind of makes sense considering all of the sneaky assassin shenanigans they have her getting up to.

Garona would have been sick.

Why not give a story arc to any other generic orcish warrior then?

See the point? Try having an actual conversation. The sarcasm is childish and base trolling. lol

Again. Read. I like Draka. I can just see where folks are coming from.
