Valeera has been around this entire expansion in the delves. I’ve reported it, others have reported it, it’s be bug reported and posted here. Please folks, fix this The spell is called “Cloak of Darkness” and does a purple circle at your feet.
I can add more, but I don’t need to. DPS and tanks are standing the purple and it’s deleting their characters in HPs. The only way to survive it? Get out fast and stay fast. There are more posts about “Valeera’s purple circle of death” if you want to go lookin…
is it the purple circle? because she will spawn that ontop of the green one and i just take tons of damage. this is on my hunter where i am not even in range to take damage and i misdirect everything onto valeera
this has been ongoing in every delve since she was introduced. i don’t think they all have thorns. if i stand in that purple my health goes down like it’s a strong DoT every time
Blizz taught us purple on ground = bad. My health chunks in it and I stops when I step out. I don’t know if it’s covering another AoE or a bug. Don’t care. I see purple, I move.
It’s possible it’s bugged, but it’s also possible you’re mistaking the issue for something else. That’s especially relevant because it seems that many delvers (including myself) have gone all of Midnight without ever experiencing such a thing.
It’s not? I stand in it all the time with no consequence? I beat ?? Snake Man standing in it?
It is not in and of itself deadly, and no one is posting logs saying it is getting them killed or otherwise harmed.
I don’t like believing in placebos. There needs to be logs of it actually doing something to your character. I can see it disguising harmful purple circles but that is it.
That I can see! I just haven’t seen nor felt that. The description I’m given is that it is just nuking the OP and Matty out of existence.
Without logs or a video it’s kind of hard to believe this ability is killing anyone. In my experience, she’s casting it in response to my character suddenly taking a bunch of damage. When I was doing the ?? nemesis last night Valeera would cast it in response to me getting crit by an auto attack. I stood in it every attempt and never died while in it. I think you guys are seeing it appear when you’re taking a bunch of damage and confusing the cause and effect.
I have yet to have an issue to be able to even check what the logs say, not once have I been damaged that badly with a massive debuff of any sort sitting inside that purple circle or I would be checking logs.
it didn’t kill me but i would always move out of it because i was taking damage which seems odd because i am always MD big packs onto valeera and FD shortly after dropping big burst, and not near the mobs
