Replace X with the amount of Heroism Emblems you want.
To answer your question; prolly not because we can just paste this into the chat window and it works fine.
That’s just how they are. Community figures out a workaround, then they put it at the bottom of their list to address.

I have the script made up but I’m terrified of being banned for using scripts
just use this macro, safe and easy

That’s ridiculous. If they banned for this then practically every player in the game would be gone for using macros and/or addons. It also wouldn’t make sense that macros/addons are part of the interface if players weren’t allowed to use them.
“Hey I’m really enjoying playing on this private Wrath server, but now Blizz has a classic Wrath server, I’ll go play there because I’m sure an official Blizzard server won’t have as many bugs as private servers do…”
