Upgrade to a 12-Month World of Warcraft® Subscription and Get More!

Except that for the promo, they’re actually putting it at a discount. The price they show is the normal price, but you get some % off if you do it now. (Can’t remember the exact amount.)

They’re both $12.99/month for their duration though.

No, you’re missing the part where the first 12 months will be less than the $12.99/month. You’re paying the full amount upfront, and for the promotion, they’re discounting it. When it auto-renews, it will be the $12.99/month (charged all at once).

Ahh ok ok ty

Yeah, I’m missing that. It says:

12-Month Offer
$12.99/month

6-Month Offer
$12.99/month

You know what, you’re not wrong. They have a green 13% off tag on the 12 month, so I thought that was off the $12.99. But I did the math, and 12.99 x 12 = 155.88.

Well I suppose the e-crumbs they give in the 12-month have value to them, so perhaps that’s what they meant. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yea typical price advertising. It’s like stores that say they have a store-wide 50% discount but their original price point was already set like that.

I still dunno if I like the mounts to justify a 12 month sub though. Waiting to see what the bunny mount looks like.

Although I guess if you look at it as you’re getting $75 (3 mounts) worth of items, then you’re effectively paying $80.88 over a year, but the value only really comes in if you see yourself using the mount a lot. Otherwise it’s just a matter of whether you intended to play regularly or no, so the mounts just seem like a bonus.

If we just subbed for 6 months, can we just sub for another 6 months (12 total) to get the rewards?

No, that is not how the promotion works. It does require the one year sub. That one year sub is billed immediately and adds the year of game time to your account along with the mounts.

It means you won’t need game time for a year and a half if you got the 1 year sub.

You have until Jan to decide so you can see if you like DF before making a decision on it.

No the mounts are ugly. :ok_hand:t2:

Ok thanks for the reply

I would say yes, because you will make that money back in the first month of DF

However you can’t . Battle .net balance cannot be used to buy recurring subscriptions only game time

Yeah, it’s a bummer I can’t use my gold. Well, I can still use my gold when the mounts end up in the store anyways for $25 pop.

We just spent a small fortune on the expansion.
Lots of people just renewed 6 month subs and now they are required to pay for the full 12 months up front to get one mount because 6 month subs already got 1 mount and the tabard so we won’t get that again and we will already get the next 6 month mount assuming we don’t cancel our 6 month subs. So they are locking us in for 18 months to get 1 mount. It’s RUDE.
Some people would love to get this but it’s Thanksgiving, Christmas, poor economy and they simply can’t fork out that much money at once. Again RUDE.
I personally have been subbed since BC with only one break for a couple of weeks (accidentally when my son died). I’m not going anywhere so why no trust in my loyalty? Why do I have to pay for a year up front? I’m in Canada so for me $196. I just bought the epic version of the xpac so that was 130$ So that’s $330 bucks in 2 months. OUCH.
Finally, it’s not cheaper to move from 6 months to 12 months sub, no discount.

Hope this helps you understand all the hate, lol.

Submitted a ticket asking if I could opt out of receiving the mount rewards as to not mess up my mountain o’ mounts achievement.

I do not want a pay to win +1 on my mount achievement.

They told me no. If I purchased the cheapest sub option available to me that I had to accept the mount.

Sad day.
