Updating Torghast this Week

but if you only do layer 8 each week for 20 mins because you are so good…

they haven’t taken much away from you… you can still go spend your week running dungies or whatever.

Tbh I don’t think they even know what to do with this form of content. It has gone through a lot of changes much like how we had several shifts of visions and cloak progression for 8.3 beta/ptr.

At this point I think they are just doing their best to make it not feel like islands. Which to me in the first 2 weeks it reminded me so much, when I stalled doing them until a few hours before weekly reset.

They said layer 8 is in line with a layer 6, so we kinda do know what the difficulty is. And 6s, tbh, weren’t exactly hard.

It’s fine to have different opinions on what you like and don’t like but people complaining about there being no challenge anymore are completely ignoring the entire purpose of the upcoming Twisting Corridors.

Especially since it had 1-8 difficulty increments already.

It wasn’t like it was a 1 difficulty thing.

Makes no sense.

Awful take man, awful take. You had classes and specs that literally couldn’t do this content at a reasonable layer for their ilvl without hitting the jackpot with Anima powers. That completely sucks for those people and even though I do agree that these changes are very far reaching, they needed to do something.

Just to be 100% in putting this out here for Blizz. Don’t make it so easy that it becomes AFK content. At that point we’d be back at square 1 with Warfronts and then it truly becomes a chore for everyone.

I’m just hoping that it gets reused for leveling. All the growing pains throughout SLs will be worth it if it’s reused as a leveling alternative to me.

Pretty solid changes!

As opposed to a pointless task that was extremely difficult?

My comment is why bother with 8 difficulty settings if you are going to blanket nerf them all by week 3?

I feel like you guys put a Band-Aid on a solution that needed a shot. If you want Torghast to be difficult then fine, but give us the ability to be equally strong. There are multiple classes with useless powers while other classes have a plethora of powers that can almost trivialize Torghast.

I think it would have been a better solution to make it the original design and allow us to scale into crazy numbers and abilities rather than do what you always do, nerf numbers straight into the ground.

I don’t think it should have rewards other than leggos in terms of player power, but they should really have it give things like mounts, pets, toys, etc.

That was the one thing Islands did better, was it had lots of little doodads you could find. Otherwise, they were pretty meh.

Bad players continue to ruin the game

Good on ya Blizzard.

This is what I expect to happen when they are gutting it to be easy when most people are barely in M0 gear.

It’s going to be islands 2.0 soon as people get actual gear.

Would you enjoy playing torghast as a stand alone game, through its variety of changes from beta to now?

you spend an hour doing your layer 8’s each week and ignore the rest of the place…

while the majority are slogging away through the lower layers you are finished and moved onto whatever else you like to do.

so whats the problem again?

And there was much rejoicing.

Thanks for listening, folks!
