The UI on the poll is kind of lousy — I clicked on the text of the first option (the wandering ancient), half expecting it to take me to a concept sketch or something. Instead it immediately cast that as my vote. Which was not at all my intent.
I figured out that the “Show vote” button would allow me to change my vote to the one I actually wanted, but I sort of wonder how many people are going to do what I did and NOT realize their vote can be changed.
That’s the only reason I can think of for the “wandering ancient” to be in the lead.

Those who are asking about what the mounts would look like, theres one of em shown in battle pets thru ur beta/ptr, which one of em matches their description.
Perhaps it’ll be like Azeroth Choppers, where the winner is distributed for free and the loser(s) are eventually dropped onto a vendor.

If you’re undecided (to borrow come wowhead comments):
- Nerubian = we already have a spider mount
- Spelltome = we already have discs and carpets
- Caterpillar = we’ll have a giant grub mount in shadowlands.
- Slime-cat = well… we have cats…
- Tree = WINNER!!!

Slime Cat 100% | This mount would work well in practice
Caterpillar 100% |This mount would work well in practice
A BOOK? 100% | It actually probably wouldnt work well, imagine a paladin tome…
A TREEEEE? | 100% this mount would suck in practice. It’d feel janky and not very cool.
