You can believe whatever you want, but there’s zero proof and the post itself reads as “change” and not “fix”
I’m not sure we should want them to try and make things like Bfa. It’s a new expansion, make the systems better - not stay the same / worse.
You think you do but you don’t.
Can’t have you straying too far out of expected gameplay time investments.
Sure thing.
Can you summarize your position squarely so when I bring it up to others I don’t misrepresent it?
To me, it appears as follows:
You believe that, for some reason (perhaps you can explain why?) they made a change to how keystones have worked for 2 expansions prior.
Now, they are changing them back, in the middle of the season, in a non-content patch, instead of in a hotfix earlier.
This is all happening due to what, clueless development?
Something more sinister?
Wandering Ancient Mount accompanying this patch?
/#Stay Safe, Stay Healthy.
They made a change to see how it would play out.
They didn’t like how played it out (probably less engagement then they wanted)
They changed it back, pure and simple.
Yea, silly tree mount is available on tues.
Cool, so even though everyone could have seen this a mile away, you think they still weren’t sure?
Just in case, they wanted to do this for 13 weeks total?
Debating who is at the top or middle of the pack won’t really get anywhere as we look at data differently and know things differently from content we play.
But really though, the one thing I really wish Blizzard would do is explain these changes. Why is fire mage allowed to have a legendary that is better than their current best in slot thus giving them increased overall damage while an MM hunter legendary gets a nerf when it wasn’t even on par with their current best in slot legendary POST SST nerf? Like, explain please? Because if it’s system adjustment, this clearly is a dumb one.
Traditionally players call for other classes to be nerfed. It is rare to see someone asking for the opposite.
Everyone? Everyone aside from a handful counted it as positive change and there is an extremely negative reaction to them changing it back.
I mean to say that everyone could predict this would allow players to skip easy weeks and get right back to where they were on push weeks.
Are we clear on that part?
Your position includes that Blizzard did not expect this, and that is why they are changing it back now, right?
My position is that blizzard made a change that players liked, but blizzard didn’t like it and changed it back yes.
They don’t really need a reason, they arbitrarily change things all the time.
This is important, I often wonder what people mean when they say a spec is great/terrible. My first thought is always to check 95th percentile logs on WCL but that only shows what is going on in raids, not M+ and not PVP. So unless someone says “class is top damage in raid” idk exactly what they are talking about.
Okay, that is absolutely false, so that’s where we will end.
I PROMISE you, they NEVER ONCE have ever made an arbitrary change.
Every thing they do is always for a reason that is thought out ahead of time.
You have to look at M+ representation for it, it generally shows who’s performing well in M+ anyway, dps isn’t always the most important thing there.
PvP is all hearsay, except if there’s outliers.
Europeans spamming keys, cause of dem soc generosity, until they “cba” out of frustration, is not a sign of a healthy system.
Game has 4627 characters above 2k, with 58.2% coming from EU.
Using skewed distributions as proof of something working is pretty funny.
Oh, I’m not saying they don’t have reasons, but unless they decide to say why they change it, a lot of it seems random or arbitrary.
If they came out and said it wasn’t intended people would still be mad, but there would be a reason at least.
Instead they wrote it in a way that says it was intended and they are changing it. They specifically list “bug” fixes.
So maybe you can explain something to me then, because ponder as I might I can’t figure it out.
Why did they remove the mounts owned statistic from the … statistics page?
Or completely screwed up guild rank permissions. I’d really like to know who came up with that one and why.
