[Updated Dec. 14] Purchase a 6-Month Subscription and Get a New Transmogrification Set!

I think you read what I said wrong.

“You must be the kind of person that wants an artist to give out their art for free…” Don’t think I read that wrong.

I do not understand why there so hell bent on killing this game. So sad.

And I wouldn’t consider this mog original honestly. When I saw it I immediately thought of a tmog already available in Overwatch. Same company, same fairy tmog.

It took a minute for it to load for me. The article also said “By the 30th”

Is your sub recurring? As in you leave your payment info on the site?

BOOOOOO get these microtransactions out of here and make some decent armor sets we can all get in game. this looks like it took more time than the whole last tier of garbage. spend time making quality sets for everyone get this cash grab out of this game BOOOOO

Why are we even paying a subscription at this point? Selling transmog isn’t too far from the business model of say, ESO aside from the missing loot crates. Not a fan of this move to double-dipping.

I’m talking about artists in general. Artists set up patreons or whatever and people complain that they’re putting their stuff behind a paywall. How dare they try and make a living?

From my experience in the industry, store items like this help out the artists, who are honestly underpaid. The game and monthly fee have nothing to do with it.

I claimed it on the battle.net launcher but it hasn’t shown up ingame. Is there usually a delay? Or am I just doing something wrong?

They actually do that, you know. They give you a discount for having a Hulu Sub, don’t tell you it’s limited, then start charging full price without notice.

Disney does that kind of thing all the time.

Restaurants also charge for addons to a meal every day, all day long. Want guac with those enchilada’s? That’ll be a buck ninety nine. And yeah, I’ve been to restaurants that charge an “entry fee” to come in and get a standard meal, per person and require a certain number of people in the party, then charge extra for addons or a different meat plus a drink or whatever.

Honestly, I don’t have an issue with the shop. It’s plainly apparent that you do. But to act like Blizz is the only company that charges for that T-Shirt after you already paid for your meal is a bit disingenuous.

If you want it, get it. If you don’t, don’t.

Would I have bought it if I didn’t just get it for doing what I always do? Probably not. But I also wouldn’t have been here complaining about it making others who did want to buy it feel as though they’d done something wrong. Nor would I have claimed that a for profit company was “disrespectful” or “predatory” for, you know… doing things to make a profit.

You pay for the game when it’s released. Yes. You pay for access to the servers. Sure. None of that means there can be no “add-ons” to your order. Sorry.1

Stop making sense! GD must cling to its bizarre belief that Blizzard pulled an entire team of raid designers off their tasks to do the art for this gear set.

You can cancel your sub before you get it and pay full price month to month. Or you could, you know… just not use it and forget it’s there… Just sayin’

I was thinking of the embarrassment I’d feel if I left my game open and someone wandered up and saw I had that… thing.

why on gods green earth are you defending bliz putting in microtransactions for something that has always been available in game. something that is a core and exciting thing to work towards and making the whole idea of getting cool gear trivialized by paying for it. boooo

Well, I will sport mine proudly, thank you! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

It’s not about it being good / bad / cute / whatever, it’s the fact that we already buy the game, pay a sub, and then still have to pay for extra things like this. Why not add this set as a reward for an achievement or a quest line?

thanks love this going to put it on a few toons tonight or in the morning

I can see myself using the wings for sure…I just wish they didn’t have silver tint on them…

the mask might come in handy too!

now individual pieces aside…the set as a whole is not very good…you guys really could have done a better job filling the fantasy of a faerie dragon…and since it’s real money, I expected it to have some cool effects (kinda like the cycle armor where casting will form lightning during your anmation, or the MoP legendary cloak cosmetics)…

please put more effort into cosmetics and mounts in this game…this is the thing people care about a lot nowadays, so don’t make it look like you’ve lost your touch…

If they’re being underpaid that’s on Blizzard because they are very likely making a bare minimum of $180,000,000 a year on subs alone. That’s not counting any extra revenue from Paid Services, Expansion Sells or the in-game Mount/Pet/Toy/Transmog store.
