I think this was supposed to be the ingame gift for this year Blizzcon. But still is free stuff for your subscription. It’s like a store giving you some free items for being a loyal customer. Dunno why people are so angry. These days entitled children like to be offended for literally petty things.
How could you do the thing that literally every other successful MMO has been doing for years blizzard how dare you!!!
Blizz always gives a freebie with six month subs. But they are usually awesome and this is just terrible. I think you are right though, this stinks of Blizzcon prize. If they thought of it they would have done something better. This was guaranteed to alienate half the player base.
Guild name checks out. The point still stands that time and resources were wasted on plain garbage when it could have been used for something much better or more productive.
You aren’t the design team, so you don’t know this. Thus, your comments on the matter are invalid. Moving on.

your wings aren’t armor that can be equipped. so it wouldn’t really be a transmog would it? if anything it would be something you would go to the barber to do.

This new mog set looks like the Wendigo woolies from 2019 Blizzcon. So I think they intended to give this to Blizzcon attendees this year but because of covid they just put it on the store.

That’s not the point. The point is that the transmog is a giveaway for purchasing a 6-month subscription but it is the single stupidest transmog I have ever seen in this game. They’ve previously given several awesome mounts for 6-month subscriptions, but right now they’re giving a butterfly fairy costume for it instead? If anything, this transmog is driving people away from buying the 6-month package, and the vote ratio on the YouTube video abundantly reflects that.

Both this and the are Woolies are ugly. I get some people enjoy ugly mogs so power too them but I’ll stick with my sexy plate.
Yeah that’s great and all, but the big spoiler is no one is forcing you to buy it. If you’re on a 6 month sub and don’t intend on quitting, you save money and get some freebies sometimes. I’m not gonna use the set, but it’s nice to get something free sometimes even if it’s this.
If it’s keeping people from doing the 6 month sub? That’s honestly fine since they can vote with their wallets. But you save money on a 6 month sub, promotion or not; and they’ll probably do another freebie within your next sub term that once you’ll also get free.
I’ll buy the xmog and 6 month sub. Dec is when my sub end and I was going buy 6 month sub anyway.
If you are already signed up for 6 month sub, you will get this for free.
If you are on a normal sub you have to get the 6 month though.
so since i have a pre-existing 6motn sub do i get it, or am i yeeted becuase i never leave my sub to renew i always come back to renew it when ready. because i dont want the site to save card information.
Its killed about a quarter million Americans, I’d say thats pretty scary.
