[UPDATED AUGUST 2] Shadowlands Season 4 Content Update Notes

For new and returning players, this is the worst move Blizzard could have made. Why would people want to spend time catching up on the ilvl, conduits, legendaries, tier pieces, etc that will be required to be accepted into Normal PUG groups when all those things will be utterly useless when Dragonflight releases in just a handful of months?

New and returning players got royally screwed over during a time when Blizz should have appealed to them the most. The gear hurdle alone feels daunting, especially if you’re not typically a raider.

Last time Blizzard had the same thought, and did very little pvp content & attention - a heap of them quit … Which resulted in a few million players.

Literally every major content creator, along with anyone who has common knowledge of the playerbase knows - a lot of people care about pvp. Personally, I haven’t cared about it so much the pass two expansions, however I’m not foolish enough to say no one cares about it.

I’ve had quite a few instances where people have instead wanted a resto shammy for their low-hp saving heals, and others who want druid healers for their brez (Many argue, DKs / DPS can brez; but they also debate that the non-healers aren’t focused so much on who’s dead).

PVE-wise, sure hpriests are great and all, heck they’re even outperforming others like Blizzard even admits - but that’s not to say they’re the ONLY healer people desire; otherwise you’d see the top mythic-raiding guilds with nothing but holy priests.

^^^ :100: percent. Exactly.

They will not, because what interests them is to milk money with the sale of tokens.

It means I can’t see. What do you think it means. My eyesight blows.

That is a hard thing for a lot of people to get past, especially if they’ve been playing solo up until that point. The game has gotten really easy to solo so people interact a whole lot less while leveling.

On top of that dealing with just one or two really toxic veteran players that demand perfection drives people to nope right out. They miss out on all of the good stuff and people that they would have met.

Yeah, it can be annoying when people don’t know what to do or make mistakes but by being jerks we are just lengthening queue times and making sure that the nasty players are the only ones queueing up. So even if people don’t want to be kind and helpful they should at least think of their own selfish desires and help them get over the hump.

Awesome changes, good job, Blizzard!

Just when I think the game of World of Warcraft can’t be any more perfect than it already is you guys go and outdo yourselves time and time again, im very happy reading these changes and i hope everyone else is too and i cant wait to try out the new prot warrior, frost mage and misteaver. The changes fit my playstyle perfectly

You’re not going to find much empathy here sadly. :frowning:

I am aware of that.

I don’t know about that. Getting to Zereth Mortis and buying the catch up gear is really easy. Boom 226. All of the world content becomes easily manageable.

You don’t even need to buy all of it.

Rings trinkets and necklace? Do the Sand Sand Everywhere achievement.
Belt? Complete the storyline, instant legendary.
Plus you get other gear just by doing dailies and progressing through the quests. It is probably the easiest it has ever been.

If you’re looking to go from zero to Best in Slot THEN it might be a bit of extra work but you really don’t need BiS gear. Have fun, don’t stress about gear, there are plenty of ways to gear up and not waste your time doing stuff you don’t want to do.

But would that actually give people the ilvl required to be accepted into Normal PUG groups for the Fated raids? From what I’ve heard, the minimum ilvl needed will be 270+. Zereth Mortis doesn’t go quite that high, does it?

You guys and the WoW team need to accept raiding isn’t for everyone who plays the game. AOTC didn’t get people to into raiding and this won’t either. Its just going to encourage people paying for carries.

You can get up around 252 without ever touching a dungeon or raid.

Fated Raid Finder DROPS 265-272 gear but that does not mean you need to be 270 to get in.

There might be a few parties in Raid Finder that want to be carried but there will be plenty of 250’s getting together to gear up and start moving up through the ranks.

Raid Finder is recommended so you learn the mechanics and start to get better gear before going all in.

Ah, okay. That is reassuring. Thank you for the info!

Life and time holds me back.

No warrior MS or recklessness uptime nerfs… and no nerfs to the 80k+ aimed shots from MM hunters. Least I don’t have to worry about PvPing this patch

Add slimecat to LFR.

A truly novel idea!

Actually, it’s buried here in this post. You should start a new thread to make others aware of your opinion.

Guardian druid? Hello?
We just letting it die and phasing that spec out of the game to bring druid back to a three spec class?

Slimecat should be reward for questing. You get the 50 quests completed achievement and you get the slime cat.

(Looks left and then right)

………RUNS!

Exactly… what is with this weird mass psychosis almost of these people thinking it’ll get more people to raid  , has the last several yyears of them trying not taught them anything
