I used the card after targetting the progress bars on the guys who are playing Hearthstone at the ONE table, it gave quest progress.
But the quest doesn’t award anything. Just a couple gold.
I think the main feature of this event is gonna be those boss spawns. Which, I missed the first one. I think they are every hour on the hour.
I’m lucky, so I know I will get the drops I want. But sheesh!
I reckon they might not have had the boss spawn on the very first hour. Idk tho
They did, it was in Stormwind, it doesn’t seem to spawn in all 3 locations according to what guides have said. So it’s likely a rotation like the garbage diablo event
A guildie mentioned he killed one of the bosses in Stormwind, and got the Stone of Hearth (which, according to him and Wowhead, is bugged and not working)
I had to fully exit the entire game and log back into WoW. Just a character re-log wasn’t enough to trigger it for me.
there was a 3 boss fight in stormwind at a little after 2pm EDT, I got some cards and the 36 slot bag.

I tried logging into hearthstone and it says I have a bunch of card packs to open.
They get a +1 in their engagement metrics?
(but seriously, there are always some people who log in, open a few free packs and then get tempted to make a purchase or two … promotions exist because they do actually work)

So when you throw out a Wild Card, it adds a little NPC to the board on the table. I don’t know what that does to the people playing, but if you zoom in you can see what you added.
This is, predictably, extremely stupid.
So I think beyond the breadcrumb quest to the tables, and the little quest she gives after, it won’t matter what toon you’re on as far as the bosses go.
There’s only one table. So no one will actually be playing that, except two people.
The main feature is the bosses that spawn I think.
Is this what the 10.2.6 event will be? A pirate spawning once an hour for us to kill for mediocre loot?
I am guessing now it’s about being at the right spot for the boss fights. Next might be the orgrimar one
Apparently I heard that you’re supposed to log into Hearthstone to get the mount in WoW? Am I hearing this right?
I did the quest before I even got the mail because you need to log out and back in the get it. I did thge breadcrumb after anyway, it completed but nothing else.
My concern is if I’ll even be able to see the boss spawn, since I can’t see the event at all without having the quest.
Yes, you can now log in to hearthstone - don’t have to do anything but log in. Then log in to wow and it will be in your mounts to be unwrapped.
