What waiting? The boss will spawn every hour at the top of the hour, you don’t have to wait, go about your day and come back? The quest you get can be completed in under a minute.
The diablo event rotated, if my memory serves right. I’m assuming this one will rotate as well.
Does the SW event location flag Horde?
Most likely, yes.
I’m no stranger to waiting around for a spawn. That’s part of playing a hunter by default. The Diablo event wasn’t much better, but this one annoys me more somehow.
Edit: Another spawn apparently in SW as I am sitting in Durotar. Seriously?

Well that’s stupid. The Horde one is in Durotar so it doesn’t flag Alliance players.

Just going to have to wait for the Weak Aura on the timer for these guys and it telling you which location, just like the D4 event. Or the wowhead article with a table showing the spawn times in each city.
Which in itself is dumb needing a third party to explain and guide an event but small indie company I guess.

I’m at the one in SW on an alt and it looks like it’s a 5 min spawn timer or something so there is plenty of time to get to it.
Didn’t they say, random ones would spawn during the event, not on the hour?
I think you are right. I pulled up my D4 event timer spreadsheet. That one had more spawn locations on it though. We shall see.
Apparently SW was already done I will just have to hang out and see which one we get.

It’s not. The SW one spawned like 7 mins early, I couldnt open a card pack thing i got. Other people got a toy with like no description. WTF is going on?!?!?!

Mine is Durotar, as well. Looks like the timer is 5 minutes.

There were 3 fights in sw from the one portal, not sure if loot was on just the last or all 3.
