your gonna needdd more then one day for thjis test…you proimised us 4-5 days…all we get is one? not fair at all…give it a few days…collect the data then pull it…
The thing is, the actual features don’t even work. You can create guild neighborhoods outside the housing portal. But it just fails. You can’t even test the actual neighborhoods because of this.
This is what we’re looking forward to in 2 months? They just fixed a major bug that let people steal houses and we’re getting this content in less than 2 months… It’s 100% going to be disaster and bugged to heck on launch.

At this point Blizz needs to push out the launch date of Midnight to June of 2026 or later, and have a hard rethink about both the expansion and how they do things.

At first I was like… “Well, this is alpha material… we’ll still have a beta cycle ahead of us, so all might be well.”. And now that you’ve said it, it just dawned on me that there will be no beta testing for all of this, because housing will already be released in 1,5 months.
Who’s going to test this stuff if there’s no proper PTR testing? The handful of streamers on alpha servers?
I’m guessing the stress test is to help it get ready FOR proper PTR testing for those who own midnight.

The alpha for midnight already has housing testing. We have a month and half before this comes out and most features aren’t working yet.
With major bugs just now being fixed, there’s no way this is ready to ship in a month and a half

You’d be surprised at what can get done in a month and a half with a dedicated team.
Will it be ready though? Absolutely not… Look at 11.1.7 and the flames radiance stuff…

To be frank, this feature is the biggest feature of midnight by far. The dedicated team should be working on this since it was announced, not only a month and a half before release… And sadly with major bugs only being found now, this is gonna be nowhere near ready and absolutely be another x.x.7 patch that is bugged beyond belief.
and for those it isn’t for, they are not forced to interact with it.

I believe they were talking about the fact that Doubleagent doesn’t have a faction. which in turn means even if they WANTED to, they cant interact with it
Whelp, tried to install and uninstall twice and keep getting incompatible, guess no ptr housing for me, lol.

They say they are running the test now today and tommorrow…but how do I access it? When I launch PRT 11.2.7, it loads a screen with one test realm that says incompatible? I checked and it says my PTR is up-to-date.
What don’t I know?
In the same boat and wondering the same thing. 
I agree that it should have no effect on power.
But I don’t trust Blizz to keep it that way.
And I think that there needs to be a distinction between power, and QOL, and that Blizz needs to reconsider the QOL side. Despite the fear of “Garrisons OMG”.
I think they have stated that they don’t want to add things like and AH and bank to housing, and that it will be there just for player’s enjoyment. No power etc
So they said:
“We’re running a limited-time test beginning today through Friday, October 17, of the new Housing feature on the Public Test Realm (PTR) for anyone who wants to participate. You won’t need to have Midnight on your account to take part, however. It’s important to note that this test is for an in-progress feature, and we may either periodically take down this test or cancel it at any point in time as necessary.”
So Midnight isn’t necessary, but I have the pre-purchase. So if they are in the middle of a “periodic take down”, or have canceled already, it would be really nice if they would continuously post updates.
