New content is new. They’re updating them for dragonriding. Not changing base models.

If you love the low res models, then again, classic is that way -----> that’s literally what classic is for.

Speaking of mounts, every time my paladin uses divine steed, I’m reminded on how bad those mounts look. Why hasn’t this spell been updated. That summoned temp mount looks completely asinine in 2023.
Get the order hall glyphs to turn it into the legion mounts. You have 4 colors to choose from

Well most people want blizz to update as many low res mounts as possible. Sucks to be in the minority for you, but it’ll happen eventually.
The only drakes that probably won’t get updated are the nether drake’s since they aged pretty good.
So yeah, I suggest you evaluate how much your low res drakes mean to you, lol.

Neither is yours, honey. Not all of us like a game in 2023 being a mishmash of graphics from the last two decades.
Without the grinds, we’d be getting most of our mounts as rare drops with an often <1% drop rate and limited-time rewards from high-end content. You think they would give everyone HD versions of their old mounts for free alongside the originals? Nah, they’d make you work for it, but I would unironically prefer that to the other options.
No one’s deleting anyone’s mounts. They’re just making them look like they belong in a modern game instead of one that released before most people on this board were even in middle school, myself included.
Your pigheaded attachment to ancient Babylonian pixels and hostility to others over it says a lot, and the former is likely holding the art team back because the backlash to previous model updates dissuades them from scrapping any more old mounts. The complaints are almost certainly why instead of updating all of the old orc and dwarf racial mounts, we just got a single HD version of each that we can only obtain for a few weeks out of the year.

My take is that they look like trash, make them look better and a lot of people will use them again, also, please update the old saber mounts, like the winterspring frostsaber, its has been 19 years blizzard, come on…

I think it would be great if the old models in the old world were replaced by the new ones, including in dungeons.
What I don’t understand is that the developers replaced the old models in some races, but not in all. A current example is the Gnolls and Centaurs.
I would love it if they did this with the other races too, e.g. Ogres, Fel Orcs, Broken, Arakkoa, Centaurs, etc…
