Ok but can we fix mc bug also?

So after 5 months complaining that other tanks are trash and DHs are good, i finally came with peace to roll a DH, and boom Nerf. Really Blizz, you should have done it before everyone changed characters and once you didn’t at least wait until 9.1

Yeah, I don’t kite any of those except the cats.

Kiting the snakes literally doesn’t do anything, their dangerous DoT is a cast.

Oh there was. There was a ton of it. But we were never interacted with on the beta forums for months upon months on top of months.

Lets take the theoretical situation where VDH no longer has leap. Would it still be #1, top 3, or at the bottom?

The true change they need is not a knob twiddle by blizz it is a core fix of fundamental’s that is needed. Now do I start with the GcD change and the destruction of macros or should I just get into stats or are dps stats just fine for tanks. Alot is missing from the tank role and i just can no longer get into it just to have it twiddled.

I have several discords quoting me tanks are supposed to take ilvl over vers 90% of the time unless the difference is extremely marginal but am still not convinced (there are a few arguments about armor being that good that make no mathematical sense at all). Personally after getting crit mastery crap 6 weeks in a row my DH has been leaning towards a respec and sadly attached covenant change since long before this news.

You know what’s really sad?

All Druid specs did used to have trees. Their function depended on the Druid’s spec:
Feral trees did melee.
Balance trees cast DPS spells.
Resto trees healed.
Guardian trees taunted.

Pruned in Legion and changed to Balance only.

The saddest thing about the pathetic state of Guardian’s design is that Blizzard doesn’t have to reinvent the wheel. They just have to unrprune some of the great stuff that Guardian used to have, but doesn’t anymore.

Instead, Guardian got pruned again in Shadowlands. The 4th expansion in a row. To my knowledge, Guardian is the only spec that was pruned in Shadowlands.

For slots with armor on them, this is often the case. For rings/necks, not so much.

You specifically set the criteria at “able to prevent stacks of Tenderize”. Mass Dispel does not a Tenderize stack prevent.

We can argue the party utility or protections against death by overwhelming small-tick damage (as opposed to eventual one shots) all you like, but discussion usually follows from setting a question and then answering it, not shifting the goal every other post with neither warning or direct relevance.

It’s just so sad that the devs have to do something aggressive like this mere months after launch. It seems to me like the devs don’t even know what’s in the game anymore. The code base obviously becomes bigger with each expansion, making WoW seem like a poorly written bill in Congress. “We have to launch the game in order to find out what’s wrong with the game.”

Pretty sure DH still gonna be the best tanks for M+ because DPS didn’t get nerfed.

I mean Luke Skywalkers Death Star shot was “Doable” but to what degree of doable is the factor here.

Also, we’re talking about timing. Not just trudging through the instance with innumerable deaths and a de-leveled key doable. Especially not “high mental functioning genius” encyclopedia of wow kid who can hop on any class and solo stuff 90% of the world can’t manage, doable.

We’re talking, run of the mill, PUG, with 40% probability of 2/5 people being terrible doable. WIth 3 people who actually know what they are doing able to still carry them and complete the mission without it literally wasting 5 peoples friday night, the only night they could get off this week to try and get a damn 226 vault item this week, just one stupid slot PLEASE… because for the last three weeks they got nothing. Besides a few non-upgrade options because the other nights they had this week they had to devote to torghast, the maw, dailies, weeklies, reputation, anima, pvp rating, and raiding.

I guess you also complained when Monks, BDK and Warriors were all meta tanks in previous tiers?

I’ve been playing VDH exclusively since Legion alpha. This is the only time VDH has been considered the “top” meta tank - especially in raiding. Sure, it’s been viable from time to time in M+ thanks to kiting. We’ve always had spike windows when DS drops, again physical mitigation is our issue here. BDK and Bears already had more passive mitigation than VDH and now they got even more leaving us with a bigger gap.

All tanks are viable at 15s the gap only becomes evident when you get higher up, which is such a small fraction of the game’s population that it shouldn’t even matter. People watch streamers run high keys and just copy whatever comps they see.

Keep posting on your throwaway alt though, maybe with these buffs you’ll finally get invited to that +7 you’ve been struggling with.

Besides the DH bug that they are correcting, there was no need for a 10% buff. I agree that currently, all classes are viable at the +15 range which is what they scaled for. They are only providing these buffs because people complain over every obstacle and blame something other than their own skill wall. Easier to complain than to climb over the wall.

This is interesting since its actually a net buff for Vengeance since they GAINED physical damage reduction which was their main weakness, at the cost of some magic reduction (which was their strongsuit that they could honestly afford to lose some of anyways).

Any decent vengeance DH would gladly take a phys reduction buff in exchange for a magic reduction nerf.

So yes… they actually ended up effectively just BUFFING Vengeance with these changes.

Talking about tanks. Why DH jail and cc from rogue doesn’t pull and Repentance (Paladin) yes?
