Do you not know how to balance the game? You will be changing nothing in the long run.
Nobody cares about seal of vengeance from divine storm. On AoE we use command, on single target 1 stack means NOTHING.
Hand Of reckoning to the rotation? We are GCD capped without consecrate glyph. We run AW glyph in non undead content, so we are gcd capped. 1 global every 15 seconds is open.
When divine storm 2set comes we use consecrate glyph and our free gcd is spent on a 40% proc. We aren’t wasting a glyph slot.
Thats some cope. alliance abusing premade made BGs awful and pushed a lot of people to quit, this is nothing like that.
Also representation doesn’t matter in this context. unless you are comparing parses. the reality of it whether you or anyone else wants to see it is this ret is not the basement DPS that people keep trying to parrot. it has utility that other classes wishes it had. all this whining and moaning got you all what you asked for. now stop complaining, and stop trying to pretend you are some basement DPS when the numbers don’t remotely reflect this, that spot belongs to warriors
heres the funny thing about representation. people don’t play frost in PVE because its literal dog water thats why the numbers are abysmally low. if changes came down the pipeline to make frost suddenly a proper PVE spec then representation would shoot up but that wont happen why? because thats just how the expansion is.
representation does not matter in anyway shape or form especially when people knew what they were getting into

The best thing they could do is just incorporate the T10 set bonus into rets base tree since it was balanced around that, they could even have it like a 30% chance and have the new T10 set bonus increase it by an additional 10% so the bonus is still good. This seems the best option for a buff imo.

that would certainly be more fun i think but their initial statement said hey want to avoid impacting pvp at all. i dont think it’d be an issue considering top “ret” pvpers dont spec into divine storm atm anyways, but w/e
Oh I made this know on the ret discord, they have opened up the spigot changing the resto druid tier and now rets. They are dripping it out right now to see if people are going to be ok with these types of changes. I’m for it.
I also do think these changes are good, but it think ret discord is overblowing them being great.
The new glyph alone is about a 600-700 dps upgrade. that’s even replacing one of the other glpyhs. That is massive.
The faster stacking will add about a good probably 300-400 dps on quicker stacks alone.
I mean we are looking at probably about a 1k dps buff, which is pretty darn good. It almost brings us to middle of the pack which is where they want us. I will be testing it alot when it goes live, my ret is not my main but he is still my alt.
Overall the changes are good, just not enough for me to make it my main raider again.
