I’m with you OP (no, I’m not actually a level 20 retail char, this is a forum alt)
Pay to win? Blizzard does not offer any pay to win services. C’mon now…
I’m not sure how that ruins the game for so many people, but okay.
On a different note - Finlandia sucks… Their shirts were so much better when they said “FU” for “Finlandia University.”
it’s because they’re so attached to the “achievement” of paying a mage to afk boost them, that the idea of someone skipping the irrelevant content to get to the stuff they actually enjoy (TBC) offends them on a personal level
Classic doubled wows subscribers and still has several high pop servers and almost every other is medium pop. All of those players are spending the time to play, so i disagree with what youre sayin. Plus tbc will already have increased experience gains around 30-35% from what ive seen posted in the forums
fixed that ![]()
There’s a difference in time required to play back then than now. Every thing is figured out for you folks now in Classic. People in Classic couldn’t even handle a few weeks of Naxx and that’s WITH a readme guide written by the players 15 years ago.
Imagine 2 years of progression raiding. Yes, raiding MC at patch was almost a huge grind also. 4-5 days a week for hours and hours. On top of that pre-nerf strath and scholo requiring hours to clear.
Again, people in Classic couldn’t last 3 weeks - even with a how to guide. Let alone 2 years.
No, Classic is NOTHING like Vanilla in terms of time spent. The player base is nothing like Vanilla.
The tolerance for “tedious” and “time consuming” is terribly low. I said it so many times before pre-beta forums. The older generation made Vanilla WoW the culture that it was. This generation will make Classic what it is.
I mean Ive spent the last 2 years playing fairly consistently along with many other players who have contributed to what would prob be 20 maxed out servers since classics release, and speak for yourself. A 2 year grind for any raid sounds like fun to me. I play because i enjoy the game. If i didnt i wouldnt play anymore.
Of course there are exceptions but they are exactly that. Exceptions to the norm.
I hope they fix it so you come back!
If the people quitting aren’t raiding or putting in much time then it’s no big loss. Go boycott somewhere else. More people will replace your subs so you won’t be missed.
Bye, glad you are leaving tbh. I have friends that hate classic and didn’t want to do it over again and now will be return since they can go to 58. This does not affect you a single bit expect the selfishness of your personal view of I want others to have to grind also so I can stay ahead of them.
because in 2007 I began TBC at lvl 60 as did many, many players. How does a ONE TIME lvl 58 boost ONE PER ACCOUNT affect you?
Seriously. They make it sound like you can buy a 60 boost unlimited times and get free epix. It’s such an over the top reaction for such a harmless thing.
It’s selfish and petty to simply want people to be forced to play content they don’t want to. Let the people who want to play TBC play.
I keep hearing it will mess up professions, as if people with professions weren’t over charging and abusing professions beforehand.
Yeah, most I see complaining are mages, which tells me they want to make the gold boosting players. ALso professions are not boosted.
What an amazing imagination! Retail WoW has had this feature for the last SIX YEARS! Has Retail WoW become pay-to-win? If not, then neither will TBC for at least SIX YEARS.
If (in your opinion) retail WoW is now a pay-to-win game, goodbye to ye and good luck finding a less pay-to-win MMO.
Only if they are playing TBC, where 58 is the lowest level. But yes, that is what the boost offers them,
Yeah, people are becoming increasingly useless. ![]()
Bah Bye, don’t let the door hit ya in the a$$
Boosts don’t fall into a pay to win category.
People need to stop using it like it is.
