I have this same message.
Those notices should be in-game, not on the launcher, as they used to be.
I just right click the launcher tray icon and select WoW.
I’ve been playing for the last 4 hours with no warning, so no, this is not a scheduled maintenance.
Finally, we should have an UI element with such warnings.

Believe or not, I was in a group clearing the 2nd wing of LoU LFR. We actually managed to clear it before shutdown with about a min to spare. 
No Time Warp too because someone blew it while we were clearing trash. It was a miracle.

It seems like WOW is just constantly under maintenance, almost every second or third day.
What is going on? Whats broken? I’m getting really curious as to what is making WOW break so much and so often.

Believe it or not, a maintenance can still be scheduled for a day other than Tuesday. This was something planned, ergo, it’s scheduled.

This is why I have other games to play. Wow goes down, not a big deal just do something else till it comes up.
