Idk if maybe y’all can’t read tho, both of you just running RAMPANT on the forums trying to talk everyone out of getting buffs, game isn’t balanced, they buffed rets and ferals, I want all the other specs to get buffs now too. I listed them. Buff them. The data is undeniable, they underperform. Thats all. Warriors don’t need to be the top, neither does ele, balance, or ret. I play them all, but they shouldn’t have a gap that incentivizes class stacking.
And with a straight face who would want their class to be stacked. That’s more loot to share.

My guy, what iteration of this game do you think was well-balanced enough that no dps spec was ever stacked?
It’s never happened. Buffing all the bad specs won’t stop people from stacking the best ones. It never has.

Let’s be better than warriors in Vanilla were then. Tighter class balance benefits everybody. There’s nothing to be gained by being vindictive just because some warriors were a bit elitist during Vanilla Classic.
Let’s show them how they could have conducted themselves then, and how they can conduct themselves now.

Idk I didn’t play vanilla classic really. I quit during mc. I’m advocating for class balance and both of these rogues want the game to be unbalanced for whatever reason. They want to be top of the meter and don’t want anyone else coming close. I want everyone to be equal, on god.
That’s not what my paladin talent “vindication” says.

Thank you for the response, but I do want to take a sec to just be extra clear here. Balance is decent enough right now and we should not need buffs at all. I’m all for having buffs happen, but they are not necessary.
People are the problem. Folks need to stop trying to stack their raids. Balance for role, buff, and/or armor composition, then just go do the content. Any issues you have in your raid aren’t going to be because of classes, it’s because of skill.
Beyond that… buffz!

This is not going to happen. Let’s live in reality for a moment. Unless they do a MAJOR overhaul to every spec and all their abilities this won’t happen. Rogues are amazing on bosses, wanna know why you don’t see a rogue stack? Because they cannot compete with warlocks in consistent AoE. Warlocks just clear trash faster and give up less than others in other areas. It’s perfectly ok for them to be that too because that’s their strength not mine.
What the players really need to do is stop using the top 1% as their metric for existence. The game should not be balanced around them despite the players using them as their measuring stick because MOST guilds are not stacking. Let the sweaty players do their thing and not let it affect ours.

Paladin/Druid. They bring the most utility in the game.

We’re saying the same thing. This is what I mean. People stack to the meta. It’s not necessary.
I mean, let’s assume Blizz does the impossible and gets all classes within 5% of each other. A very challenging feat to accomplish, given the game’s complexity! Still, say it happens. Then people are still going to gravitate to whatever XYZ streamer tells them is the best and discriminate against specs that don’t fit that.
All we can do here is be a voice that says, “STOP! This isn’t necessary! Just have some fun!”
This whole thing is an unfortunate byproduct of streamer culture. Note that I don’t blame the streamers for this, I blame our dumb primate brains that can actually be pretty smart if we let ourselves be open to paying attention to when we’re being guided by our dumb primate brains… lol.

I think we can move past this. The “hybrid” tax stopped being something people cared about along the way and I don’t think we need to revive it. It just doesn’t matter.
Believe me, I understand how you can talk yourself into this… it’s why it existed in the first place, but it’s just not something that ended up mattering. The worry was that if hybrids did competitive DPS then that’s all people would bring to raids and the poor pure classes (without hybrid utility) would be left out. But that didn’t happen and everything was fine.

See I think they should both be above warrior. I’m an ebb and flow guy. And in my mind ret and feral have not had their time to be in the sun. Warriors have lived their entire existence so far being strong where as ret and feral have only existed as supports to the likes of warriors. If anything ret wasn’t buffed enough. I think warriors are just deservingly on the down side of things and it’s their turn to be towards the bottom

Right, it’s basically impossible without just making all the classes the same. There are so many factors that are always going to make one class better than another. Fight lengths and mechanical demands, who can soak this, who has CDs for that, who has the burst dps or sustained dps for this tight dps check, number of targets and duration those targets are available, etc etc.
Class stacking will always happen at the top end, even for a 1% gain.
For sure, but again, it’s just not necessary. So we need to be the voice of change… or at least try to be
