Though related to this I find it odd we donā€™t have a small object of entertainment that turns one into a Sethrak for a limited durationā€¦ (Donā€™t you get any ideas Blizzard!)

Iā€™m hoping the lack of said object is a good sign to what we REALLY want.

Also, now that BfA is coming to a closeā€¦

I am really wondering if this achievement will become part of what is required to unlock playable Sethrak.

Arguably this will be soloable at some point in Shadowlands. Much like how getting Fenryr on Mythic difficulty from Halls of Valor at end of Legion and into BfA.

Getting turned into a Sethrak via an in game achievement is an awfully suspicious hint and teaser, to me.

That is a good little teaser! I donā€™t think Iā€™d worry about accomplishing it right now, but after I gear up at the end of shadowlands thereā€™s a lot of content I like to go back and solo.

I donā€™t plan on doing it currently either. I just would not be surprised at all if it is part of the prerequisites to unlocking Sethrak as an AR. The achievement turns you into a Sethrak. If it isnā€™t a hint to them becoming playable at some point, it certainly is a cruel taunt on Blizzardā€™s part. xD

As I said before, thatā€™s likely just a ā€œfor funā€ achievement that just serves as a reference to the Metal Gear video game series. I donā€™t really ever see it being an unlock criteria. Wouldnā€™t hurt to do it just in case, though.

Chances are any races going forward that you have to unlock will likely be things you have to do in the current content, such as still having reps and also story-related achievements. At the very least, I rescued the Sethrak loa and did Vorrikā€™s Champion just to be on the safe side. Doing stuff like Snake Eater wouldnā€™t hurt if you are able to do it, though.

I will say that I do some of the old content, reps, and achievements just in case they are involved in some fashion in future playable races. You never know, and it has been fun to work on older content in general. Itā€™s one of the reasons Iā€™ve been doing all sorts of Pandaria stuff, especially if it is Saurok related. Also planning to do Ogre related stuff for fun too. :smiley:

Iā€™m sure itā€™s mostly for fun. xD Just thought with BfA coming to close and that content going to become easier to accomplish alone, I would not put it past Blizzard to implement it.

And Iā€™m personally completely fine if it does become part of the requirements. Iā€™ll do all the required grinding, etc to get my playable Sethrak.

I did. And honestly not sure how I lost it. Perhaps lost read time. But now that I think about it, Iā€™m not totally sure why I got it in the first place. o.o Donā€™t you have to make 30 topics as part of the requirements?

I have 26 total topics atm.

It can be easy to loose with inactivity. Gotta be reading a lot of stuff. Good enws is I hear it is easier for people to get it to get it back. Sorry to hear you lost it. Hope you get it back someday.

I rechecked the requirements.

Iā€™m betting it has something to do with read time or number of topics viewed.

Iā€™ll get back up there eventually. xD And then I can post all the snake and Sethrak related gifs and links I want. :heart:

Donā€™t think you have to make any topics at all, I never do and I get T3 just fine each time.

Read time and throwing around hearts seems to work the best.
