yeah but the others have redeeming features
But i can kinda see where you are coming from
I think so do the Sethrak. The Sethrak followed the other Keepers as well before the civil war happened. I do think there is hope for The Faithless now that their tyrant is gone.
We shall see what Blizzard does, if anything. (Think they should with this level of debate, lol)
Did the Zandalari really have redeeming qualities prior to a few quests back in Cata? I mean the next time we see them from there theyāre litterally the big bad next to Lei Shen.
I get that you see them as mostly evil, and thats fair, but they can easily change that with some added story. Not all members of a society are always on boardā¦ sometimes they just have no choice.
since the faithless were a splinter group from the sethrak and there remained a group of sethrak opposing the faithless i would argue that in this case there was a choice
Impossible to tell. We donāt know how many saw themselves among the Devoted before the split.
For all we know the Devoted were always a small number of priests directly following their loa.
The rest could have just been rank and file members of the society.
Even then the choice may not be as clear cut.
The problem is that we donāt know the conditions of the Sethrak empire. We know that Korthek killed off any that opposed him, but much like the situation with the Nightborne, rebel cells could have developed over time to oppose him and keep the faith alive.
The Devoted were a ragtag band of Sethrak that happened to be on the outside of the empire when everything went down, and itās the Devoted that would more likely join one side or the other (or both).
Some of the text about Emeni implies the Sethrak were more like The Faithless as a culture than The Devoted. Which makes me really wonder about Sethrak history.
While the idea of the alliance wanting the faithless to join their ranks without some serious lore twisting in my eyes seems a bad one to me.
It would certainly give the horde a good reason to start killing them.
Still. By all means give Horde the Devoted Sethrak. xD
I just want them playable. As I have said multiple times.
Still think more on their lore and history should be implemented! I agree that it feels very unfinished. More so than some of the other story lines we got in BfA.
Sethrak as a race are really interesting, asking them to be playable or not.
And at least we can debate civilly. I enjoy the discussion.
Unlike some other threads where the hostility is ridiculous.
Good god yes, itās insane how heated some people get about sethrak and high elves. Not to say itās unique to those two, but those are by far the worst.
I like this thread being an exception.
I hope it stays this way too.
Oh, I hate it. xD
This thread can get that way occasionally. Usually with trolls coming in or occasional individuals who think Mechagnomes or whatever other race denied their right to Sethrak, etc. They typically donāt stay around long as we either ignore them or respond with reason.
Youāre allowed to dislike some of the AR. But by no means did any one ruin it for the Sethrak.
Pretty sure the Sethrak just needed some more work. They just laid down the base work in BfA. Or had to switch directions for a time.
The last time I got involved in another sethrak thread it was one where the OP thought the Devoted fit Horde better, which I agree with. A certain individual who still pops up every once in a while, then popped up for the first time.
Itās an objective reality that the Horde is a worse faction morally than the Alliance, but thereās still been things the Horde has done that are good, and when that person said those didnāt exist and I brought them up they ignored them and then insulted my intelligence.
Great guy btw
Either way, I enjoy this thread, one of my favorites so Iāll keep it going long as Iām subbed.
Oh yeah, I know how people feel when they got mechagnomes instead of sethrak, I feel that same way about vulpera.
However, I recognize that itās not the fault of people who play or wanted vulpera and holding it against them is stupid. I donāt dislike vulpera, theyāre okay, but I totally prefer sethrak and always have. Besides, like it or not, vulpera fit Horde perfectly, you just have to look past the initial looks of them.
Iāve considered making a token vulpera recently, have yet to do so, I still have a ton of characters filling up my list and putting me at near limit because of how high my hopes were for SLs customization.
Thank you.
Iāll just chime in here to say Sethrak would be awesomeā¦for the Horde
Lorewise arnāt we the ones that returned their temple to them anyways? (not sure if the Alliance have a duplicate quest or not)
Technically you just slaughtered one section of their people to return it to the Devoted and bring back their loa.
Donāt even know if the Devoted really retook the temple.
Hordes fine though.
I prefer neutral.
Perfectly acceptable!
Horde is responsible for killing Korthek and saving Sethraliss.
If you think playable Sethrak would be a great addition, please make an in game suggestion. It is under the Help tab in the game menu. We would really appreciate it. Thank you for the support!
Went and made a Sethrak hunter on Hero Forge. Put him on a mount to show how it looks. And how Sethrak could potentially look on mounts aside from Krolusk!

Thatās super cool! I wonder if they add them what class Iād make for my Sethrak! Was thinking of a Hunter but may do something different I donāt know what though
I definitely plan to make a Hunter!
Also want to make a Shaman, Priest and Mage. Though Druid or Paladin is the dream. Not sure they will get either of those classes for Sethrak though. Someone on reddit made a great design for Sethrak Druids. Lemme see if I can find it to relink it.
And thank ya Zuro for linking the pic! It sucks I donāt have TL3 anymore.
