Oh! This is exciting news! Thank you for bringing this to me!
I love that. Not the first time we’ve had to learn a furbolg language either!
I cannot wait to see this!

Fingers crossed that this leads to a Furbolg AR. I know it’s a meme at this point to say that any pretty new race or reputation is indicative of a new AR, but… I actually really want this one, haha. XD
This Winterpelt Furbolg reputation seems like a partial throwback to other furbolgs in WoW’s history:
That is a very interesting find. I’m wondering if that will get implemented on live servers and, if it does, when it’ll be available. It’s definitely something to keep an eye on and help report findings on.
If it does become available, I’ll be having getting exalted with them as a top priority to work on in Dragonflight, along with getting the equivalent of exalted with the Tuskarr rep.
That said, thank you very much for sharing this!

Given that its not implemented yet I’m thinking what might happen is its something that you can gain access to after hitting 60 and expand upon there. Its starting at Unfriendly there which makes me wonder if perhaps it is a bit of a call back like Valmont said to the the Timbermaw tribe. Meanwhile needing to learn their language is a nice callback to the Stillpine tribe whom you needed to learn the language of to interact with further on Azuremyst isle.
Both of these things make me feel strongly that Blizzard might be more aware of furbolg fans than I thought.
I still doubt they will be playable during DF given that despite their new model it is far from player designed at the moment. But this does give me great hope for the future that maybe they are starting to lay some further groundwork for the furbolg as a playable race!
Very excited and I will definitely be getting exalted with this tribe. I cannot wait!
Ursol guide you and Ursoc give you strength.
I think it would be neat if they were aware of fans of NPC races, as we could see more of them or even have them become playable in the future. It’s a reason I try to show support as best as I can to races I want to see playable.
And for Furbolg specifically, I think it’d be a great time to show support since there will be some in Dragonflight. We’ll have several patches to go through, so anything is possible with them. Not that I’d get my hopes up of course, but you never know.
I’m looking forward to assisting with reporting information on the new Furbolg here when Dragonflight launches!

I think Exploring Azeroth: Northrend is out today. Wowpedia has a section with some info for it now, though they may still be adding information to it at the time of this post. The page is here:
Nothing really mentioned about Furbolgs on here, though as I said, the page may be updated more in the future. I also only saw one Furbolg character on the character list section, unless I missed any other ones. It’s this Furbolg:
No info was given on the context of their appearance or mention in the book currently, so I don’t know what all is said about them.
I am apparently getting this book as a gift in the future, possibly for my birthday in March, so it’ll be a bit before I can get my hands on it. I’ll keep an eye out on the Wowpedia page to see if anything else gets added to it that is Furbolg related. I would think something would be said about them, given that one area is pretty important to them on Northrend. While I won’t get my hopes up, I’ll keep an open mind until I can see the book for myself.

That doesn’t surprise me. I can almost guarantee Tur will be mentioned along with info about Ursoc’s fall or home.
Few other furbolg are of note there despite the importance of the region to furbolg overall.
I don’t expect a great deal of good info about furbolg from those lore books, their focus is clearly not on expanding lore rather more about noting tidbits that we already know for the most part and to give new players light context on things they may have missed without playing for hours in game.
Kinda wish those books were more encyclopedic rather than unreliably narrated and so bare bones.
They kinda attempted that with the Chronicles book. However, from my understanding, it didn’t take long before some things in them got allegedly retconned, which defeated the purpose of the books. Go figure.
Still, it’ll be something worth looking at to see what all is said. Even if it may not be much. Best not to leave any stones unturned!

Game is going right that way too. I’m curious how it’ll play out since the things that are being set up to expand are things I quite like such as the Black Empire.
A Furbolg enjoying Pilgrim’s Bounty! A bit hard to take a screenshot, since the old Furbolg model doesn’t sit and clips through the table with the eating animation. Think I got a decent angle taken, though!
Wanted to wish everyone a happy US Thanksgiving this week if you celebrate it. Whatever your plans are, I hope you all have a fun, happy, and safe holiday. And get to munch on a lot of delicious food, of course!
Hopefully, Furbolg will be able to enjoy the holiday and all the delicious food involved someday. I’ll keep hope! Also, we’re 7 days away from Dragonflight’s release, which is pretty exciting. I’m looking forward to checking out the Furbolg there and seeing what they’re like and such. Albeit with an open mind, of course.

yes playable Furbolgs should be Alliance, a good Horde counterpart here I think would be Gnolls
I’d pair them with ogres.
Long desired race and both from vanilla/wciii for their respective factions.
Gnolls I honestly don’t see ever joining anyone myself. Could be neat though.
My gf would be very hapy if we got this, And I support her. So I want dis.
Ogres should definitely be playable, but I would pair them with Vrykul.
give the orcs their ancestors and the humans theirs at the same time
Heh, there’s a certain symmetry with that.
I like it well enough.
Happy US Thanksgiving!
Here we have a Furbolg enjoying Pilgrim’s Bounty with members of the Alliance:
Still hoping to see Furbolg be able to enjoy the holiday someday. And for those celebrating today, I hope you all have a fun, happy, and safe US Thanksgiving and get to eat lots of delicious food!

Dragonflight is almost here and Wowhead has a list of global launch times here:
It’ll likely be a day or so before I jump into Dragonflight, mostly to wait for any bugs to get fleshed out and to do another round of Son of Galleon farming on Tuesday. Hoping things go smoothly for everyone, though.
I’ll be keeping an eye on the new Furbolg for things to help report back here. Granted, I’ll be on this character to begin with, but eventually I will have my Alliance main go through Dragonflight also. I’m not sure if there will be many differences with how Horde and Alliance characters interact with any friendly Furbolg.
Even if nothing comes from the beginning, we will have several major patches to go through, so something could come up in the future. Regardless, I’m looking forward to helping out in reporting on the new Furbolgs!

Working my way through the first zone. Can’t wait to hit the third one. If only I didn’t have work and things in the way. Harumph.
I usually suggest Mok’nathal and Broken together.
Survivors of Shattered Worlds.
I quite like the idea of Ogres and Vrykul.
Another I like is Night Elven Worgen and Satyr
This is the playable race i want the most!
Today i completed the DF furbolg quests and they make me think that, sadly, furbolgs are not planned to become a playable race soon. The NPC models seem just too basic for them to be playable and they don’t even have voice lines, just growling sounds.
I really hope we get them in the future, but it seems unlikely
