I still really want this race. I loved them the second I saw them. I miss reptilian races in MMOs.

Edit: And now that they’re allowing cross faction raiding, it doesn’t even matter to me what faction they’re on. I just wanna play em.

They dont need to have such female traits to be female.

You can easily just make waist a bit tinner and make eyes more female and it would be perfect. Not sure how dress would look on them tough.

Thats my preferred actually.

Either no difference between the models or just slight tweaks with the body.

Though I’d make females a little bigger than males. Put most of the changes in the hips and broadness of the shoulders for the physical.

I DO NOT want to see orbs of mammory tissue on em.

Hate orbs of mammory tissue on reptile races…

Welcome to the neutral side of things.

That cross faction makes some of this a lot easier overall. We can focus on just the race itself and not worry as much about what side they’re on.

As do I. It’s a shame WoW has gone so long without any playable reptilian races.

Luckily, there are plenty of reptilian races in the game that would work very well as playable races. Hopefully, we’ll see them become more than a NPC race someday!

There were at least two Tortollan megathread attempts if I recall correctly, which sadly fizzled out. A shame, since I’ve been thinking of doing some in-game reptile events at some point (still thinking out the details) and could use some Tortollan fans to help out with that regard.

I’m for them being playable myself, since turtles are my favorite animal. It’s a reason I try to include them when I talk about playable reptilian races. I don’t know what the chances are for them, but I would happily roll a Tortollan character if they did.

I only excluded Sethraliss because some of her design may be attributed to her being a loa and special character.

However I do agree her model can be used for female Sethrak as she has wider set hips and a higher set chest.

I don’t seem to have the author in my notes so if anyone knows.

But as you can see the models are only subtley different. The males are also much smaller than the females. Love it.

Also, Nadez I don’t know if you’ve seen or not but I made a Furbolg thread using your and Zuros framework. I made sure to give you both credit at the end.

My main issue with the wind serpent balance form is that the balance form requires being able to mount, as you can be in balance form and use mounts, be in vehicles, etc. So I think a more snake featurey zandalari balance form would work instead. And maybe have the wind serpent for the flight form, or the pterrordax would work too since the sethrak use them as flying mounts. Still a great concept!

Yeah I’d have the wind serpent be the flight form myself.

It’s a cool idea for balance but I’m not sure it’s practical.

I do like using the Arakkoa model like the Zandalari do though for the balance form. Just Sethralissy.

I don’t think Sethrak would be able to be druids. I don’t remember seeing any in-game that are druids. Playable Sethrak are likely but I don’t think Blizz would go for druids, honestly.

I think they could tie in the druids of the fang (from wailing caverns) to the sethrakk…then boom Sethrakk Druids

Wowhead already addressed that years ago and a few have further proven helms are not an issue.

Helmets for Sethrak aren’t a problem to make them a allied race.

Sethrak have a cobra head so try to put a helmet on them isn’t so easy (but it’s possible).

Easiest solution: Do the same thing as the Mechagnomes for Sethrak => Mechagnomes can’t “wear” pants and arm sleeves. Do the same thing for Sethrak with the helmets.

But keep in mind it’s the easiest solution, we can have other solutions too.
