Really feel like they should have been made into a playable race. They’re really damn cool and so new compared to most other races.

I like that they seem like an actual race with an actual footprint. While also being fairly unique. They don’t feel like something completely out of left field like void elves.

Happy Reptile Awareness Day!

Reptile Awareness Day is a day to learn about reptiles and their importance in life, such as in various ecosystems. It’s also a great time to support some reptilian races as new playable races! 
To celebrate the occasion, I’ll be listing some fun related videos both here and in the Saurok megathread. I tried to find some videos where snakes are part of the video to fit this megathread better.
That said, here are some fun videos:
Sometime in the future, I’d love to organize some kind of in-game event for Reptile Awareness Day. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time or resources to be able to manage something at present. Maybe sometime, I’ll be able to think of something and do an event of some sort.
And there is always plenty of room for more reptiles on that character creation screen!

Just a little over a week until the next expansion. Hopefully, we will see some sethrak in some way. Maybe aiding their vulpera or zandalari friends with whatever the storyline cooked up for the expansion? Or have us make a short revisit to zandalar maybe.
Either way, let’s hope we will see them again.

Poking this thread because I feel Allied Races are still alive, and Sethrak brought something really unique. I enjoy them and would definitely roll one. Allied Races are still being added and so, I feel these folks would be good to begin discussing again, what with how Blizzcon gave us a preview into future expansions coming up.

Considering the new expansion is heading underground, this is the perfect time to bring in the Sethrak again; the original plan was to have an underground region in Voldun, right? And we’ve sort of seen it before already in the Temple of Sethraliss. Now seems like a great opportunity to revisit that plan.

Sethrak would be a real game changer I think and given that they themselves could easily be neutral right now I’d bet Blizz could make it happen easily enough.

Dracthyr and Mechagnomes show us new playable races with limited transmogs can be playabled with a focus on barbershop customizations. So Sethrak could get a focus for their head on the barbershop meanwhile we could get armors for the rest of their body.

Though it should be reminded that wowhead showed that head slots work just fine on Sethrak back in the early days.

The only things that would need any real adjustment are hoods, and normally they just make the bottom front of the hood float awkwardly in the air anyway.

Blizzard please I do not want to wait over 6 years for playable Sethrak. Add them in a patch or something.

That would be great. As long as they’re the same model and have the same racial name, I’d be cool with that. I don’t think we even need a female model now that Dracthyr are a thing.
Part of me still wants to believe they can be an AR in 10.2.6, maybe we’ll find a pirate island with pirate Sethrak…

They technically have a female model already: the model they use for Sethraliss’ Sethrak form is different from the normal one, and like the other Sethrak model is set up with the full rig for clothing, etc. in the same way. The main differences are the spikes/horns and the shape of the torso (higher chest and wider hips), and even if the spikes/horns are decided to be Sethraliss-specific, that’s still enough of a gender difference in my opinion.
Though personally I’d prefer Neutral (or Horde, though that one’s for lore reasons), in the end I care not for the faction they side with so long as they are playable.

I kinda want them to give Evokers/Dracthyr the ability to use any race as the visage and kinda do evoker for everyone that way… probably be quite the effort on their parts…
Sethrak though being an option would be wonderful! Still want them as their own AR though.
