I don’t support jerks who look down on mechagnome players just because they’re unable to control their emotions.
Sethrak would be an amazing race for the Alliance (or Horde). I hope they come neutral.

It’s about time that the Alliance gets a “win” with the Sethraks. We Horde-players got the races we wanted (Mag’har, Zandalari, Vulpera, Nightborne), the Alliance not so much. It took them four years of constant whining to get High Elves as a subrace, so it would just be fitting to throw them some meat for once.

Sethrak are cool though. Ideally I’d see em as a neutral race, the Horde getting the Devoted while the Alliance takes in the remnants of the Faithless.
Be a nice way to add a more valorant race to the Horde and a ruthless one to the Alliance.

I don’t know, it’s odd. Surely Sethrak were brought up in discussion for Allied races by the creative team. They put so much effort and story to them that someone must have pipped up.
I’m guessing they considered them for the future but since then have put the idea of allied races on ice.

Doesn’t really matter to me. I’ll keep requesting the races I want to see added as Allied races regardless.

The thread is now almost three years old. Come on blizz, we still really want sethrak! IMO they should have been added at the same time as vulpera, but it’s still time. It’s always time!

I think it’d be cool if the Sethrak, like the Iksar in Everquest, were an outcast race hated by both the Horde and the Alliance and forced to avoid both until they can scrounge up faction rep (and perhaps even specific reps) to be allowed to trade in Alliance or Horde cities and outposts.

Big agree on playable Sethrak. As of currently the process to go about just to have the disguise of a Sethrak is a massive pain. At least let us have a toy (with a long use and a short cooldown) as a stand in!
We’ve been shown that a race that needs to worry about a Mog is irrelevant given the Dracthyr exist!
Otherwise, guess I’ll stick to using a rogue, disguise glyphs, and the appearance prisms…

I feel like the time for sethrak for the alliance ended at the end of BFA, at least the ones I’d prefer playing. Even if they implemented them that way, I’d probably go with one as a horde alt.
That said, I’d still like to see them made playable.

Honestly I’d be happy with Sethrak as a neutral race considering they’d be fine with either-or, especially as written by OP. Could be written as like, Devoted allies, Faithless exiles that are trying to find some kind of forgiveness, something.
At this point Blizzard could literally write whatever lore they want for the Sethrak.
They have so many animations and are basically playable, all they need is a few more animations (stealth, sheathing, unsheathing weapons, mounting, emotes) and some racials and they’d be ready to go. It’s shocking how close they are to being playable, come on, Blizzard let us play snakes!

Fair enough for sure. They were always built out more for Horde in the story than they ever were for Alliance but it would be nice to have a race like em for the Alliance.
This remains my ultimate goal for them. Horde, Alliance or neutral.
