Draenei characteristics and history are very loosely influenced by ancient Greek, Carthaginian, etc…styles, but for the most part the are a complete concoction of Blizzard, they can do with them whatever they like.
Orcs, dwarves, elves, and gnomes are borrowed from other fictional settings, and carry most of the same stereotypes, limitations, and characteristics of their thematic forebears.
