Unlimited 70 Boosts

If anyone thought WOTLK Classic was going to be anything near a “classic” experience they were either ignorant or lying to themselves.

These servers aren’t a DeLorean and they aren’t making anyone a McFly.

Who cares if there are unlimited boosts available. Just don’t buy them if you don’t want to. The 1-70 community isn’t exactly poppin’ on most servers.

Honestly, just being able to have to option to boost is a no brainer. if you don’t like the idea then don’t use it, but just because you hate the idea of alts flying around everywhere, doesn’t mean that everyone shares your opinion. Personally, I have been waiting for this option, trying to get my shaman and dk to 80 while still working full time, and parenting on some of my off time, gives me little time to level from classic all the way to 80, at least levelling through northrend doesn’t take long at all, and that little boost goes a long way for those who aren’t able to play much at all. I’m 100% supporting this. And as history has shown us anything, is that perks like these usually come out after the 2nd patch of an expansion anyway. so we are due to see something in the near future. Heck, if not 70 boosts, then maybe even look into the RaF program again for 300% experience while levellling, since that was a thing back in retail wrath.

True as you still have to level most of the job classes on their own outside of a few. It’s a super nice system to have in an MMO, don’t think it would fit in WoW though.

Might as well sell 80 boosts for the price of paying to get boosted to 80 by prot paladins after selling tokens. Just cut out the middleman.

If you’re really in a hurry to spend your money, you can do this with multiple accounts! It’s only $15/month per account, so… :woman_shrugging:

The downside of course is that unlike Retail, you cannot transfer characters between different WoW accounts, even if they are under the same registered name/email/battlenet account.

Absolutely incorrect

Leveled and geared up multiple times and I’ve never done a single GDKP to buy gear. I ran a few towards the end of TBC to make some extra gold, but I’ve never bought gear.

classic andys would rather lose their left nut than allow others to play the way they want.

I think you pressed “reply” too early…I don’t see what’s correct then?
I mean, if you say something is incorrect, you need to provide a logical explanation and wit ha counter argument onto why Deunan is incorrect, and preferably have it backed up by some links.

Just pointing it out so you can edit your post and not sound like an immature 45 y/o chunk stomping his feet.

This is what internet wannabe intellectualism has become. Accepting whatever useless assumptions you want such as Deunan’s claims of what problems are or aren’t. You’re not asking for a rationalle from him, let alone LINKS. There are no peer reviewed studies about this, and you’re acting as if an article from Game Informer lends any more weight than the opinion of another individual.

You can ask for a source in me claiming that Sub rogue is the highest DPS and get away with it. Regarding sociological issues, the fact you’d even begin to request such a thing shows you’re totally out of touch.

Deunan said I was incorrect, yet you did not tell Deunan “if you say something is incorrect, you need to provide a logical explanation and with a counter argument onto why she’s incorrect, and preferably have it backed up by some links”, but that’s because you don’t care about what is true or not lmao

TLDR

that’s a lot of words for “I disagree, this is a problem to me”.

To a lot of others just off a basic glance of the people I play with and others here in this thread, it doesn’t seem like a commonly held view is that people having more than one character they play is a problem.

Are you going to quantify anything you have said about alts being an issue with links or data? no because it’s a personal viewpoint, not a hard fact either way.
Do you want to quantify your statements about MMORPG’s not being a format that should support alt character play? no? then do not leverage that onto others when you yourself will not.

you going to quantify that?

You clearly don’t understand soft sciences. Like I said, this is sociological. You haven’t a link or data to back up your claim. Of course we are arguing personal beliefs, as well as our own perception of what the community’s thoughts on an issue would be. That goes without saying, and if you had to use that as a caveat in an attempt of a “GOTCHA!” moment by saying something is my opinion, then you are missing out on something altogether in this discussion, or when discussing anything subjective in general.

Furthermore, the term is “qualify” not quantify, and before I said you were incorrect, you made the claim:

in an attempt to say that the issue I was concerned about was misguided. So yes, you said I was incorrect, and you didn’t “quantify” it yourself. L O L

LINKS OR DATA? “I like the color blue” “SOURCE!??!?!?!?!?!”

You haven’t a link or data in the world to back up your personal opinion, so why make such a claim?

I said that something was important, implied, of course, because I am the speaker, to me, and you said it was unimportant as if it was fact.

LINKS?!?!?!?!?!?!

You crazy Destiny watchers. This is all sociological speculation.

Neither do you.

My statement was intentionally flippant as a response. Personal lists of problems in the game aren’t always going to match up player to player. You’re going off real hard about providing sources when you yourself have offered none, and the entire debate is based on personal view points.

I do, but I imagine that doesn’t matter to you.

uh, why do i need one for a flippant comment? seems botting and RMT are much higher up the list of problems than people making alts.

I’d keep reading but you devolve into rambling over a flippant comment of disagreement. Have a nice day and be better.

I stated what I thought to be a problem. Completely acceptable.

You said it was not a large problem amongst players on the list of problems that plagues this game. That is a claim. That’s all fine, until someone else comes in telling me my claims require sources like we’re in a high school debate class while ignoring the same level of proof that would be required for yours.

You literally just admitted to trolling.

Anyways, keep asking for “quantification” of arguments. L O L

Can you actually name an mmo besides ff14 that restricts you to only one character?

Even on FF14 you can still make a new character to level, it’s just superfluous.

Yep.

My paladin can’t use bows. My rogue can, albeit poorly.

hence the experimental 2nd account boosty hunter who runs AV CTA this weekend. she uses a bow, and is good at it. and will be the 26 days left on the boost package 30 day sub time.

Experiemental as I do a work up on her and see if blizzard gets their head out of the butt about linked account transfer. its money in the bank.

I’ve bet more than $50 IRL and lost. this…got me hunter play with for 30 days at level 70+. then sub dies. one day I may be able to move her.

Also its More MAU’s for blizzard.

as this char with maybe 2 days…will be honor capped. my paladin…will be honor capped in 4k. after that they are Wintergrasp loggers.

its the only pvp I can do that bears currency that isn’t a dead end lol. I still save up to buy WG vendor items. Arena is jsut not a thing I get often. well not at all.

Alts keep MAU’s up. alts…keep people playing. and if they use discord, it keeps them around to help people out. the social aspect they seem to want.

Some discord peeps need my rogue. good news for them…its wow night on the hunter. I can be reached in discord still. as I don’t share all alt names with people.

Discord I am the one name. the one name for 2 servers, alliance and horde. and even eve. so if eve is slow…I can fire up wow too.

THey go, Dude can you help me out.

Give me 5 minutes and where you at? social community has happened.

What’s the problem with that? I enjoy playing alts. I get burnt out playing the same class.

Everyone else feel free to like my post as a thumbs down against theirs.

it’s funny to constantly see requests for the game to be more like retail wow for the second time like back in the early days.

next step is for people to say I hate retail wow despite having continuously asked for the changes they got (again)

retail was/is other issues.

Legion started borrowed power hard core. we asked for it to stop. BFA added more. SL added more. DF…started out nice but may add it again as they put some half baked shards but not shard to raid.

Loot drought was the meme’d top 5% getting upset about bfa loot rates. And some decent stuff in the open world. those of us not the “5%” had no complaints there. that was Ion listening to the try hards.

the try hards who at some point raid log. Or make crap tons of gold running carries lol.

Also the try hards who then rant on their crap loot drop rates in SL now DF. the vault sucked again! rabble rabble rabble!

I’ve seen more than enough posts saying the journey is gone from wow in retail, and wanting joyous journeys, cross server automated party finder (so you can sit in town and queue dungeons to max) character boosts are all part of deleting that journey.
