Part of that is because the game sucks now. Part of that is because a new generation of players who play entirely different genres of gaming get gear handed to them in those other games. They don’t understand MMORPGs. And Blizzard isn’t making this game in a way that makes sense anymore. They’re trying some cross-genre crap that’s not working.

And what you’re leaving out is that I also mentioned that how things were in ptr was abominable and even going as far to say we’re still criticizing them to this day. We are doing content and seeing what it is and telling them what should be changed to be better despite the changes being made. So you’re really just chosing what you want out of my replies and twisting what I’m saying here. I’ve even gone over what everyone is till criticizing them for with pvp and pve, but sure I’m listening to my own screeching while listing things that people are still criticizing Blizzard for in pve and pvp while you’re thinking that this is all about me.

That’s a red herring. No one said it was difficult or engaging. Would it be cool to have the option to skip it entirely for people? Sure. Is it some run the the forums and shout this is alt-unfriendly? Absolutely not.
A lot of alts were already at 80 renown. This was great for the 1 toon I changed covenants on, but the rest don’t need any.
Boy do I have news for you!
If you really want to slap it on a 265 belt, the cost of those have almost certainly tanked by this point.

Now for a quest! If anyone can provide a link to a blizzard site proving time played is an actual metric, I’ll shut right up. But if you can’t, don’t bother arguing, in my view your just parroting some streamer that doesn’t know what their talking about, so please shut right up.

There are still plenty of things that the devs can improve to respect their players’ time, but this isn’t it. The memory being on revered is super easy and you can get it at a casual pace. This is not the thing the complain about.
Listen to the quarterly earnings call. Time played is a tracked metric that is discussed on every earnings call.
