It is if this is the extent of their changes. Personally I’ve never big a fan of the wounds + dnd combo. It relies too much on outside factors.
If they take this chance to put some power back into our diseases, I’d be okay with the changes. Seems like a good time to bring back some flavor of necrotic plague where we can build up our disease’s power/duration and keep it rolling.
