Undermine is the Worst Zone

Thematically, everything about the zone is on theme. The vibrant, loud, busy and industrial elements all fit perfectly into the Goblin city vibe. I can appreciate aesthetic, it’s really well done by the design team.

But I just can’t get into the zone. I don’t know if it’s because it’s a bit annoying to get around, or the drive system, or because the zone feels disconnected from everything else, or dailies are a bit grindy, but I just don’t enjoy it as much. I’m constantly getting stuck on the terrain and crashing into walls and fences.

So, don’t go. I didn’t. My rep is around ten. I feel fine. Not every zone will be perfect or what you want. But, I will say that I like the cartoon gangsters.

Goblins and their theme are part of that fantasy

Do you even like wow ?

It’s ok for the rare and occasional zone to be different, yet still reflect the lore of WoW and their characters and races

I Love the zone. The reps suck though. I’m usually a “get all reps done” kinda guy but, for the second time I gave up. Last time I gave up was with the Loam Niffen guys. I just didn’t see the point. I’m a big goblin fan so this was sort of the dream patch. Sure it was oddly placed in an expansion about foot-woman stealing stuff but what can ya do. the story department is held up by one Murloc who barely speaks english.

Maybe it’s my age, but I get sensory overload in undermines. I’d rather fly around the top world than be in Azjkahet. Hallowfall is a nice balance.

I don’t hate the zone, it’s just excessive moreso than Mechagon.

I did the story stuff when that all first came out, and maybe a week or two of weekly quests, then stopped going unless I need the world boss.

I adore it, and as someone who is openly critical of WoW I hope you don’t think I’m just being a fanboy.

I love Goblins. I love the cultural era they inhabit. I love city-zones. I love San Andreas. I love how dangerous the city feels. I love fantasy mixed with modern-ish culture. As a demon hunter you basically get to parkour from building to building and it’s awesome.

It’s all right, but I haven’t been back in a month or two. I didn’t feel like grinding rep.

Please don’t lump all us elves together like that. I’m still on team “keep blood elves weird and edgy”. I love Undermine.

Can I ask what you guys spend most of your time doing? I’m genuinely curious. Undermine is still my main hub right now. I do go to Azj-Kahet pretty often.

I do literally anything else in the game, or I’m drawing in photoshop.

I like Undermine. It’s chalk full of character and you can tell the designers put their hearts into making the zone feel as goblin inspired as possible. It’s grimy, dirty, greasy, and probably smells bad. But it hits the nail on the head for goblin aesthetic. The music is phenomenal too - first time in a while I’ve stopped to listen.

I dislike DRIVE, but thankfully it’s an optional thing.

Like pvp? Dungeons and stuff? Horrific Visions? I’m just curious what else there is to do since I only rejoined the game a few months ago <3

Literally anything else in the entire game, and digital art, house chores, eating, drinking, showering, going to the bathroom, going outside, sleeping.

Lol okay I’ll stop asking for examples.

i like it, only zone i hate in wow is hellfire in outland the first zone we get to. the pacing the skybox the music the absolute horrible questing structure.

You hate the skybox AND the music of Hellfire? As a TBC kid I’m so offended :stuck_out_tongue:

Me.

The car is fun. The aesthetic is lively and amusing. The goblins make it feel like a real lived in city full of goblin shenanigans.

The Undermine is probably the best zone to come out of wow in a very long time. I love just about everything about the zone. Though I am super bias because I am goblin fan I had also requested that area become a zone someday many years ago.

Do you people even like wow or fantasy? Wow is literally built on fantasy zones.

Seems like some of you would rather be playing cyberpunk 2077 night city or something, yet stick around here in the “fantasy zones”

The undermine is peak goblin fantasy.
