It also shows this dude never made a goblin and did their starter zone.
I disagree, I think the goblins are great and this goblin centric patch did them Justice.
Goblins have been ever present in WoW since the beginning and I’m grateful for this kind of content that focuses on previously established lore instead of new stuff I might not like.
Goblins are resourceful, scrappy, and gaudy and their inventions, buildings, and creations all reflect that. This patch, bugs aside, has been great.
It’s a matter of taste. The aesthetic screams goblin city, which makes sense for what it is. If people enjoy that theme great, but in wow it’s not for me. I find Undermine revolting personally. It’s up there with the Maw in terms of my least favorite zones. It was night elves that piqued my interest in Warcraft lore and this is the opposite of that in significant ways.
It’s very different from the rest of WoW but that’s a good thing IMHO. No other zone has its urban aesthetic.
You tore out your own eyes and replaced them with demonic fire and that was “badass” and “being your scars” but you draw the line at a few little explosions? Bah.
I mean, it’s not a worse idea than regular warglaives.
Alright. What if I told you there’s a taco vendor in Undermine?
If you are close enough to them, you get a (de)buff craving some.
That’s cool, goblins were always my favorite back in the RTS and the technology aspect of them were a huge reason.
Not really that different if you ever went to goblin zones or cities. This is very much Goblins MO’s. Gnome cities are more Tesla based where Goblins are diseal punk.
I didn’t like it at first but it has grown on me. I can’t wait until this weekend to work on the story and really start hearing my prot warrior again.
The side quests are what made me start loving the zone.
Op I didn’t read your post but I think we should get Tinkers as a hero class.
Steam. Dieselpunk would appear more as late 1940s-50s with a hint of Art Deco style; similar to Batman the Animated Series.

Goblins have existed in this aesthetic literally since classic. Tanaris/Gadgetzan was literally Mad Max 3 inspired. what are you smoking?
Are you joking or being overt dishonest with this statement?
Spaceships and other high tech titan bullcrap was fine, but goblin steampunk bs that existed since warcraft 2 isnt?
I bet you didnt complain first patch was a dwarf and human snooze fest, neither how previous expansions were overt elvish all the time.
disagree. this is the most grounded and interesting expansion we’ve had. vulpera and pandern is what ruin it.
Yes, which fits the goblin aesthetic. Just look around undermine, very 1920’s with the art deco feel to it. Also diseal because it is less steam based and more oil based.
This patch is the most warcraft-ish the game was, ever since BfA

Pick your poison of which themepunk fancies you lol.
Solarpunk, Atompunk and Raypunks are my favorite to live in.
